The Long Way Up · published
Almost every line below started as a player report this week. Keep them coming!
NEW
• A stats panel. Attack, defense, health, qi and its rules, momentum, power: every number the game runs on, each with one sentence saying what it actually does. The mystery was never the point.
• The companion moves into a tab of their own, and the left column breathes again. A one-line strip stays behind; click it to visit them.
• Arts can be benched. In the arts list you can switch any art off for auto-battle, including arts granted by treasures, and order the rest as you like.
• Auto learns manners. It lingers a moment on results so you can pause to read, and two new options join the Auto panel: wait on lore holds every story text for your click, and tend the blade keeps the bond warm while you climb hands-free.
• Auto remembers your answers. A new option replays the choice you yourself made last time on familiar events. Only your real clicks are remembered, and auto still never gambles.
• The cast, the records, and the chronicle now open centered like the other reference pages. Curios and combat stay where they were.
FIXED
• Stone-hided foes no longer make your health bar wear their number. Your real max HP was always correct underneath the display.
• Auto-battle: Healing arts now fire when you are genuinely hurt, before a big blow can jump the line. The old trigger sat below the heaviest possible hit and almost never fired.
• Escape now closes exactly one thing at a time: the bio card, then the gallery, then the page. No more losing a whole panel to one keypress.
BALANCE
• Core Release now respects the same single-blow limit as every other strike, all the way up the mortal tower, duels included. Past floor 1000 the heavens stop restraining it: the eruption in the Boundless is untouched, on purpose. This ends the one-round fights several summit runners reported without touching the endgame engine.
• The heart-demon cap bends before it stops. Resistance built near the cap now counts at half strength, and a little past it at quarter strength, instead of counting for nothing. The gate and sidebar show the bend. Investing in your heart is never dead weight again.
Thanks for climbing, and keep the reports coming!
