Neuralic Race Engineer 1.0 — The engineer starts from YOUR setup
This is it: version 1.0. Our biggest update ever — total safety on setup changes, free-floating windows on any monitor, live telemetry overlaid on your reference lap, and an engineer that speaks like an engineer, not like a program.
🔧 Your setup is the base — always
- NRE now detects the setup you LOAD in the garage (LMU) and uses it as the base of every analysis and change: detected, saved byte-for-byte with hash verification, never rebuilt from generic tables or profiles.
- If the base cannot be identified with certainty, NRE stops and tells you why — no more changes starting from the wrong setup.
- Your original setup files are NEVER touched: NRE works on verified copies only, with byte-exact backup and rollback always available.
🛡️ Total safety on setup changes
- One candidate = ONE change: any extra difference is blocked and the file discarded.
- Parameters declared non-adjustable by the game are never modified.
- Vehicle identity (including season spec, e.g. WEC2025 vs WEC2026) is never altered or mixed.
- Sentinel or unverifiable values never reach your files: the change is blocked with a clear reason.
- Camber is never pushed to the extremes automatically: one click at a time, only with real tyre thermal evidence, never straight to the limit.
- Every write is re-read and verified; if anything is off, automatic byte-for-byte restore.
- Corrupted or unverified data never enters AI learning.
🖥️ Free windows on every monitor
- NEW free layout (🧩 button): drag dashboard panels anywhere, double click a title to shrink it to a thumbnail, right click the button to restore. Everything is remembered.
- NEW satellite panels: all 8 panels (Vehicle, Tyres, Speed, Lap Times, Inputs, AI Engineer, Setup, Status) pop out as borderless always-on-top mini windows on ANY monitor.
- Each external window: move it with the ⠿ grip, resize it from the ◢ corner, close it with ✕, and set ITS OWN transparency with Ctrl+wheel (remembered per window).
- One click on ⇱ recalls every window back into the program and restores the original layout.
📈 NEW: Live telemetry overlay
- Dedicated window (📈 button), movable to any monitor: the REFERENCE lap in grey and your LIVE lap in cyan drawn on top as you drive, without covering it.
- Real-time time and speed delta at your exact position on track: green when you are faster, red when you are losing — you see the mistake as you make it.
- Pick the reference session and lap from the dropdowns, or import DuckDB (LMU) and MoTeC (ACC) files right from the window.
- The live trace restarts every lap (pits and resets included) and always stays anchored to the selected reference lap.
- Works in both LMU and ACC.
🗣️ The engineer speaks human
- No more programmer codes: you now read "TO TEST", "Rear right camber", "Mid-corner (fast corner)", "+1 click" — localized in 6 languages.
- NEW Engineer verdict: compare two laps and get, corner by corner, what got worse, in which phase, how much time you lost, with linked suggestions.
- Lap times always in 2:21.400 format.
- Setup candidates are always visible with Approve/Apply/Rollback; blocked changes sit in a collapsible group with plain-language reasons.
🏁 Driver feedback in 2 taps
- On track, press "Report problem" the moment you feel it; in the pits TWO taps are enough: pick the symptom and confirm. NRE derives the corner phase (entry, mid-corner, traction...) from the telemetry itself.
- Reports expire on their own after 6 hours and can be deleted with ✕: no stale feedback polluting the analysis.
📊 Stints and data collection
- Lap collection restarts at every pit entry: each stint is its own story (the banner shows "Stint N").
- Stints are recorded with lap count, best and average times.
🧠 Engineering Brain V2
- New analysis pipeline: evidence with explicit states, setup/driver/tyre/track hypotheses, per-corner and per-phase analysis, per-corner A/B testing, per-vehicle and per-track memory.
- 318 knowledge base rules migrated and classified; no unverified rule can ever apply anything automatically.
- Statistical model that learns ONLY from your real, confirmed experiments.
🎮 ACC
- MoTeC import: if the file is empty (telemetry not enabled in game), NRE now explains it clearly and a button enables 'telemetryLaps' in all your saved setups for you.
- I/M/O tyre temperatures can be entered in the pits from the Telemetry Center (live inner/middle/outer fields do not exist in ACC — honestly declared).
- ACC setup writing (.json) with real per-car limits verified on your own files.
📖 Brand new tutorial
- 25 steps covering every window and every feature, in 6 languages (EN/IT/FR/DE/ES/PT). Reopen it any time from the "?" menu.
🐛 Main fixes
- Fixed: created setup candidates did not show in the panel (a blocked entry hid the whole list).
- Fixed: the target setup was the first one in the folder instead of the one actually in use.
- Fixed: vehicle identity could be rewritten during some setup file operations.
- Fixed: corner segmentation failed on tracks with the finish line mid-recording (LMU).
- Fixed: the live trace froze mid-lap on long laps.
- Fixed: inconsistent speed units between reference and live in the chart.
- Fixed: external windows would not move on some systems (now native Windows drag and resize).
- Dozens of minor fixes and 800+ automated tests passing.
Thank you for racing with Neuralic. See you on track — and this time, with YOUR setup as the starting point.
