Adjustments and fixes – Multiplayer lag and others

Alien Apocalypse Demo · published

Thank you to everyone who has been playing Alien Apocalypse and helping us create a better experience for everyone.

We are continuing to work on fixing reported issues and improving the gameplay experience.

In this update, we focused primarily on multiplayer lag, save game fixes, and improvements to interactions and feedback.

About multiplayer lag: The main cause of lag is the host having a significantly higher FPS than the guests. (If the guests have a higher FPS than the host, this does not cause any issues)

To fix this, we've added an automatic FPS limiter for the host, which should resolve the issue in most cases.
If lag continues, please adjust your graphics settings until the host's FPS matches (or is lower than) the other players' FPS.

This is a temporary fix while we work on a permanent solution.
We apologize for the trouble and truly appreciate your patience.

Others additions and fixes:

  • Added a frame rate limit to the settings menu.
  • Added an automatic frame rate limit for multiplayer to reduce lag.
  • Initial fix for multiplayer lag
  • Fixed save game issue to correctly include the session password.
