It's here. I wanted to give players total creative freedom, and HERE IT IS!
I have never, ever in my life modded anything on the Steam Workshop, so for that reason, modding Sinner Maker's basic things like custom parts, sinners, or custom items is very easy for anyone to understand!
In-game, there is a guide explaining everything, but for those who want to change the game dramatically, there are also tools to do it. But WARNING: Sinner Maker's modding environment is still in its infancy. I need feedback from actual modders on what's missing. If you have any suggestions, message me! You got my Twitter, the Discord...
I can't wait to see the community mods uploaded to the Workshop. There is a simple mod made by me, the "Miami Pack," so check it out!
And I'd also like to talk about the plans for the future update, "Proverbs." The release date is not confirmed, but this time I want to take as much time as I need to add everything I want with as few bugs as possible. Right now, the Ruth v0.76 update isn't perfect, but it's a massive upgrade compared to past versions. And brooo, it's summer! I got all the time I want to work on my game. This is the plan:
Proverbs won't be an ordinary update. Right now your sinners are very fucking stupid. They ask for simple items, they have simple relationships and dialogues... I will end that with Proverbs. What do I need? Time! That's why I wanted to release the Workshop as soon as possible, so the community can keep being creative and adding new stuff to the game. Honestly, creating my own mod was very fun. I'll probably make more, with much more detail.
So that's all for now. Lately, I'm the happiest man alive. I have a great community, and I'm making the game I've been dreaming of making ever since I played on my 3DS Tomodachi life and Animal Crossing in 2013 when I was 7. This is just the beginning. See you soon, and God bless your soul!
(I'll probably do a little patch in case there are any problems with the Workshop. Shit happens.)
