[Notice] Nightmare Mode Update - Patch Notes v1.1.0

major update

Dear Magical Girls · published

Hello, magical girls!

This is GIGABlock Studio.

The new content we teased in our last update is finally here!

Nightmare Mode is the tenth stage, featuring an epilogue that takes place after the main story.

After completing the main story, you can access Nightmare Mode from the lobby.

The difficulty setting you selected for the main story will also apply to Nightmare Mode.

If you’d like to change it, you can do so under Settings - Gameplay - Difficulty.

Experience a slightly different kind of battle alongside a new character.

Patch Notes v1.1.0

New Content

  • Nightmare Mode Added

    • After completing the main story, the Nightmare Mode button will become available in the lobby.

    • New story cutscenes exclusive to Nightmare Mode have been added.

    • A new defense stage and boss have been added.

New Combat Systems

  • Unified Upgrades

    • In Nightmare Mode, module upgrades are combined into a single upgrade.

    • Upgrading increases the damage and attack speed of all modules at once.

  • Module Switching

    • During battle, you can spend Mana to switch your second module.

    • Choose the weapon that best suits each wave and combat situation.

  • Overheat System

    • The longer you keep buffs and debuffs inside the barrier, the more the Overheat Gauge increases.

    • The higher the Overheat Gauge, the more damage all weapons deal.

    • Be careful—if the gauge fills completely, your weapons will be temporarily disabled.

New Boss

  • A new boss with four different patterns has been added.

  • Keep an eye on the boss’s current state and respond accordingly.

  • A little tip from us: be especially careful with the Blue and Green states.

Visuals & Sound

  • New cutscenes and ending sequences exclusive to Nightmare Mode have been added.

  • New background music and sound effects have been added.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed translation and font display issues in some languages.

Thank you to everyone who has been waiting for new content since our last announcement.

At first, we were developing Nightmare Mode as something that would let you enjoy the game for a longer time.

However, as development continued, we felt that the version we originally planned wasn’t becoming as fun as we had hoped.

So rather than simply increasing the amount of content, we decided to prioritize how fun it actually is to play.

Instead of continuing with the Nightmare Mode we originally planned, we rebuilt it as a new stage that serves as an epilogue.

We hope you enjoy the new story as well!

Thank you!
