aywd v1.5

major update

and yet, we dream · published

v1.5 is here - our biggest update yet

before anything else: thank you. we honestly didn't expect this much support - the sales, the reviews, the messages. we're still a little stunned, and endlessly grateful. this game keeps growing because of you.

and before the list, one piece of news: chapter 2 is coming this september.

everything below is the result of two months of non-stop work. here's what's new:

the big stuff:

- brand-new camera system. looking around no longer cuts to black. you now turn your head in one continuous, uninterrupted motion in every location.

- dynamic camera zoom. scenes now push in and pull back for dramatic moments instead of staying locked in place.

- way more animation. cutscenes -especially the intro- have been rebuilt with full frame-by-frame animation. the world moves now.

- visual tutorials. the game now teaches its systems with illustrated, step-by-step guides instead of leaving you to figure everything out alone.

- map overhaul. the map now always shows the routes you can take, and every location and person you discover is permanently marked on it. no more getting lost.

- report system expanded. new sins have been added to the report form, and the scoring has been rebalanced.

- content revision. sensitive story content has been heavily toned down to make the game accessible to a wider audience - without compromising the story we set out to tell.

new content:

- a new enemy now lurks in the quieter corners of the map. you can fight it - or talk to it mid-fight. good luck.

- the tarot card game. sit down with the residents of the town for a deduction card game: wager your sunflowers, chat with your opponent mid-game to squeeze clues out of them for your reports, and beat every rival to claim the tournament reward.

- new questline: someone stole dum's flower. seeing it through unlocks one of the biggest cinematic scenes in the game, plus a new achievement.

- the town is more alive at night: sid can now be found at the church after dark, and eva at nox's cabin.

- new side dialogues for many characters.

- rob now accepts gifts - and has opinions about them.

- a new end-of-chapter screen sums up the major choices you made throughout the story, with statistics.

- new early-game guide quests: previously, you could finish the game without ever seeing rob again, or wander around lost because nothing told you to go back to bill. these quests fix that.

- new explorable spots added to the map.

quality of life:

- discord rich presence support.

- new accessibility option: reduce camera motion.

- all menus can now be closed with esc, and click targets are bigger across the ui.

- the character screen's info panel no longer cuts off long entries.

- when your tasks for the day are done, the game now guides you to what's next.

- rejected gifts are no longer lost from your inventory.

- your old saves work with all the new systems.

- new sound effects and audio polish.

- many small flow and bug fixes.

- less notification spam.thanks again, and KEEP DREAMING
