Study Abroad Sim Demo · published
- The basement room has been replaced with a newly reworked environment. Interactive areas such as the bed, door, computer, and phone have also been readjusted for the new layout.
- The rain outside the window now plays as a looping video instead of using a large sequence of individual images. The raindrops continue moving while using less unnecessary memory.
- The highlight areas for interactive objects have been refined, making mouse interactions feel more natural.
- Events, character interactions, and action results now share a new paper-style interface, reducing the visual inconsistency between different screens.
- Character interaction pages now show actions that are more relevant to the current situation first, while still allowing you to view other available approaches.
- Character portraits, information hierarchy, and option layouts have been reorganized, making it easier to understand who you are interacting with, your current relationship, and what each action may affect.
- After a character interaction, the result screen now clearly shows changes in Affinity and whether relationship stages such as Attitude or Friendship have changed.
- Internal values such as “Goodwill,” which players did not need to manage directly, have been removed from the result screen. This prevents a single interaction from displaying several sets of unclear relationship numbers.
- Result screens for regular actions, courses, events, and character interactions have been reorganized so that they no longer rely on vague, generic messages.
- Subtle sound effects have been added for opening paper panels, selecting options, and confirming results.
- Transitions between character interactions, event resolutions, and action results have been improved, reducing brief pauses after clicking, duplicate resolutions, and result screens being covered by other interfaces.
- After confirming a result, HUD stat-change indicators now disappear correctly instead of remaining on screen.
We are continuing to work on the full version, including additional courses, character relationships, and long-term progression systems. If you encounter anything unclear in the Demo, such as blocked interactions, unusual stat changes, or confusing content, please continue to let us know.
