Vanguard Princess Hotfix – Controller, Steam Deck & Stability Fixes
We’ve prepared a new hotfix based on player reports following the Free Online Update.
Fixes include:
- Controller input fixed for Xbox 360, Xbox One/Series, XInput, and Steam Input users.
- Steam Deck / Proton compatibility improved with an automatic Classic launch path.
- Frozen gameplay display fixed by improving the Scaler Host capture system and adding automatic recovery/fallback.
- AMD/D3D display recovery added for device-loss and rendering failures.
- Pause settings now recover correctly after interrupted or crashed Online Versus sessions.
- Improved game-process cleanup and restart handling to reduce stability problems between matches.
- Controller fixes apply across all supported Vanguard Princess editions.
We’re continuing to test multiple consecutive matches, Steam Input ON/OFF, Steam Deck, AMD GPUs, and all supported game versions. If you still experience controller, crash, or display issues after the hotfix, please post your controller/GPU model, game version, and the contents of your Logs folder. Thank you to everyone who reported these issues and helped us track them down.
