I was watching a twitch stream over on GameLuster last night and I never noticed how much of the dialogue has been entangled with both American and British terminology! As the game is set in the states and I happen to be a UK citizen, there was a large number of Mums I'd managed to unintentionally sneaked in without realizing.
- Changed all the Mum, Mummy words into Moms and Mommy's.
- Capitalized all Dads, Daddy, Moms and Mommy.
- Changed the Accident and Emergencies sign at the hospital, into the Emergency Room.
- Added animated arrows above the subway, it's actually surprisingly easy to miss and has been mentioned a couple of times.
- Added two syringes on the subway train.
- Added the word battery on the graffiti at the hospital. It's a nightmare to collect them and I hope it will help people in the future.
- Big change! You no longer have to use the syringe to refill running stamina, it will recharge by itself after some time. To balance this, I made the stamina bar deplete quicker and made the recharge time more than 10 seconds. It's just so players don't run past the whole game but are able to escape tricky situations when required. Syringes still work as a refill.
I don't have opportunities to watch playthroughs to be honest, there's not that many videos out there but they do help me tremendously. I am making a new game at the moment (Still a long way off) and I'm thinking of getting testers to record their playthroughs during the development stage to see how they play.
Keep you all in the loop :D
