Attention Commanders,
Another rapid-fire patch is deploying to the orbital grid. This update is heavily focused on game feel, audio mixing, and polishing the physics engine to make your defensive lines look and sound heavier than ever.
We’ve completely rewritten the Vanguard flight AI, added new arcade-style feedback for massive combo kills, and overhauled the audio mix so you only hear the alarms when you are truly in danger.
Here is what is new in the simulation:
Arcade Feedback: Maxing out the combo meter now triggers a massive, glowing "CARNAGE!" UI toast and a dedicated, high-frequency audio chime that cuts right through the sounds of combat.
Exploit Fix: Fixed a highly classified "speedrunner trick" where the Combo Meter wouldn't wipe upon death, allowing Commanders to start fresh runs with a fully primed Carnage multiplier.
Gimbal Turrets vs. Fixed Mounts: Vanguard lasers no longer look like they are sliding out of the ship sideways. Continuous plasma beams are now physically anchored to the nose of the ship, while standard lasers use a tracking gimbal mount for snappy, accurate fire.
Impact Flares: Vanguard weapons now feature a chaotic, high-temperature plasma spark at the exact point of impact on enemy hulls.
Relaxed Patrols: When the sector is clear, Vanguards will no longer fly around like a swarm of angry bees. They now enter a smooth, "low-gear" holding pattern in distinct orbital lanes.
Smooth Flocking: Replaced the rigid collision math with Boids separation logic. Vanguards will now smoothly glide around each other without vibrating or getting "stuck" in mid-air traffic jams.
Soundtrack Swap: Deployed brand-new, 100% original title and boss tracks to ensure content creators and streamers never have to worry about copyright claims.
Alarm Fatigue Purged: The blaring boss siren has been stripped from standard high-tier mobs (Phantoms, Behemoths, Traps). The alarm is now strictly reserved for true Bosses and Mini-Bosses.
Cinematic Boss Spawns: Swapped the generic boss siren for a terrifying, deep cinematic bass drone that rattles the speakers and perfectly matches the 3-second UI warning.
Heavy Thumps: Increased the volume and punch of planetary impacts and crisis penalties.
Time Dilation Physics: Fixed a bug where Vanguards and Pyro Satellites would ignore the laws of physics and continue operating at 100% speed while "Divine Intervention" bullet-time was active.
Zero-Allocation Upgrades: Added the rare Casino Orbs (Time Warp, Clutch Save, Eclipse) and the Railgun flashes to the engine's pre-rendered texture cache. This stops the engine from falling back to drawing basic "MS Paint" circles during massive jackpot explosions.
Eye-Safe Flashes: Replaced solid-color screen flashes with soft, center-weighted radial gradients. This is much easier on the eyes in a dark room and stops video compression from nuking the bitrate on TikTok/YouTube Shorts.
Good luck out there, and keep the feedback coming!
