Krush Kill ‘N Destroy 2: Krossfire · published · build 23711663
This planet still ain’t big enough for the three of you, but now the whole world can fight over it. Nearly 30 years after its original release, the 2026 Update for Krush Kill ‘N Destroy 2: Krossfire is now live for all players, bringing online multiplayer, bug fixes, restored content, and improved modding tools to the classic RTS.
Developed in collaboration with longtime KKND community developer Andre “IceReaper” Mohren, this update graduates from open beta to become the default supported version of the game.
As we champion physical and digital game preservation at Ziggurat:
A physical Display Edition is available now from the official Reboxy store, with a Classic Edition to follow.
We have also preserved the game in its original form (no longer officially supported) on a new 'legacy' branch selectable from 'Game Versions & Betas'.
Online multiplayer support for modern systems through Steam — host or join matches directly from the multiplayer menu.
New launchers for tweaking game settings before you deploy.
Windowed mode (Alt+Enter) and additional playable resolutions, all the way up to 4K.
Improved modding support, including an updated KKND2 map editor now compatible with 64-bit operating systems.
Restored missing animation — content that never played correctly in the original release now works as intended.
Restored original HD sound effects — in-game audio rebuilt from the original studio-quality samples.
Additional language versions — French and German, selectable through the launcher.
Fixes to crash bugs and other known issues for a smoother war over what’s left of the planet.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined the closed and open betas over the past months. Your bug reports, multiplayer matches, and feedback shaped this release.
To celebrate the update, KKND2: Krossfire is 60% off from August 14 through August 28 as part of the Ziggurat retro catalogue sale, and you can grab both games together in the Krush Kill ‘N Destroy 1 & 2 bundle for an additional discount. Now is the perfect time to bring a friend (or two enemies) to the wasteland.
