UNIVERSE UNKNOWN — TRAVEL & DEPLOYMENT UPDATE

Version 0.0.10.2

This update introduces the first functional version of Universe Unknown's new travel and deployment experience, along with a large collection of multiplayer fixes and improvements made since version 0.0.9.2.

TRAVEL TERMINAL & DEPLOYMENT

• Added the new Travel Terminal system.

• Added the Deployment Zones activity category.

• Added support for browsing planets and their available deployment regions.

• Added Thavma as the first available deployment planet.

• Added Paylyx Vale as the currently available extraction region on Thavma.

• Deployment destinations now display activity information including:

• Description

• Difficulty

• Recommended squad size

• Environment

• Objectives

• Possible rewards

• Deployment requirements

• Unavailable destinations can now be displayed as locked rather than being removed from the interface.

• Additional destinations currently shown in the Travel Terminal are unavailable while they remain in development.

SQUAD DEPLOYMENT

• Only the Squad Leader can initiate a deployment.

• Added a synchronized 10-second deployment countdown for the squad.

• The Squad Leader can cancel the deployment during the countdown.

• Deployment countdown information remains visible while using the Travel Terminal.

• Squad members now travel together when deployment begins.

• Improved multiplayer travel so player information survives the transition into the deployment.

MULTIPLAYER IMPROVEMENTS

• Fixed multiple issues affecting remote-player Ascendant and AAC Unit initialization.

• Fixed multiplayer startup/loading issues that could prevent a client from completing initialization.

• Fixed client XP and profile initialization issues.

• Fixed remote-client Equipment HUD initialization.

• Fixed remote-client Grenade HUD initialization.

• Fixed remote-client Nano B HUD initialization.

• Fixed remote-player name display issues.

• Improved preservation of player identity, AAC Unit, equipment/loadout, squad position, and Squad Leader state during deployment travel.

TRAVEL TERMINAL CONTROLS

• Added controller-driven cursor navigation to the Travel Terminal.

• Player movement is now suppressed while navigating the terminal with a controller.

• Controller Back navigation is functional.

KNOWN ISSUE:

Controller selection inside the Travel Terminal can currently require an initial mouse interaction before controller selection behaves correctly. Full controller-interface refinement is planned for a later development pass.

M.F.A.S. STATIONS

• Updated Lobby terminology for primary M.F.A.S. destinations to M.F.A.S. Stations.

KNOWN DEVELOPMENT ISSUES

• Remote-client inventory data still has a known synchronization/initialization issue and will be addressed during the upcoming Inventory/Equipment work.

• Some Travel Terminal destinations are intentionally unavailable because their gameplay areas are not ready for testing.

• Squad return behavior after extraction will receive additional multiplayer/server work during the future dedicated-server development phase.

TESTER FOCUS

For this build, we'd particularly like feedback on:

• Navigating the Travel Terminal

• Understanding destination information

• The flow from M.F.A.S. Station to deployment

• Squad Leader launch/cancel behavior

• The deployment countdown

• Multiplayer travel into Paylyx Vale

• Anything that feels confusing, slow, or unintuitive during the travel process

Thank you for helping test Universe Unknown as development continues toward Public Alpha.
