Company - The I.D.L.E. Companion Update

  • I.D.L.E. has left the room panel. If you have rebuilt him, he now floats over the station itself: drag him wherever you want him parked and he will hold that spot, bob in place, and keep you company while you work. He talks. He was always going to talk. He rambles on his own schedule, reacts to level-ups, forge results, crates and fresh finds, complains the moment the fuel runs out, leans in now and then to check what you are doing, and blinks exactly as often as a machine needs to, which is not often. Leave the station alone for a while and he falls asleep on the job. Click him for his menu: a Chatter switch if you want the company without the commentary, his skins, and a full power-down for the unsentimental. The new button in the top bar, the one shaped like his head, brings him back when you regret it.
  • He also has a wardrobe now. Three outfits landed on the shop shelf: Housekeeping, a maid uniform he has strong feelings about and will share them, Fieldwork, a hat and a coat and a sudden confidence about where to dig, and Stowaway, something green that took root on his head and got to stay. One purchase dresses both of him, the floating companion and the unit in his room, and the two equip separately, so they can disagree about what to wear. Strictly cosmetic, as always. The room tab picked up its own skin picker under the robot while I was at it.
  • The support shop got a floor plan. It opens on a homepage now: the newest drop showcased at the top, the four packs right under it, your live profile preview below that, and Drops, Gifting and Customize on their own tabs instead of one long scroll. Customize is new: interface colorway, loot burst, room skin, badge privacy and your Support Ladder all on one surface instead of scattered across the station. And when you already own part of a set, the set card now explains its price in plain words: what you paid comes off, and it says so.
  • If your account is open in two windows at once, the game now notices and asks which one is actually playing. This closes an ugly one: a second open session could make dig results double up and then quietly un-happen, which several of you rightly reported as the ground lying to you. One pair of hands per shovel from here on.
  • A dig board counts as finished when every find is out of the ground. Resonance traces are a bonus riding on top, not part of the checklist, so a board with nothing left but echoes rolls over instead of holding you hostage. Related confession: hitting a resonance trace used to log "Nothing but soil", which was the log being modest about an actual find. It now tells you what you recovered.
  • Smaller things. Tied ranks no longer wreck the leaderboard podium: tied survivors share the medal and each keep their own stand. Showcased items on profiles now show the affixes they actually rolled to anyone who inspects them, which the show-offs among you have been asking for, and I say that with respect. And the ammo tooltips caught up with the arsenal: Plasma Shells admits it also feeds the Drift Repeater, and Void Essence the Hollow Invoker.
  • Late addition, because it refused to wait: wrapped gifts. Any shelf cosmetic can be bought as a sealed parcel that lands in your inventory as a very insistent glowing slot. Open it yourself, or send it on: pick the survivor from a list, so a typo cannot mail your generosity to a stranger, or use the new gift button on their profile and skip typing entirely. And whoever receives one can pass it along unopened if they think someone needs it more. The shop's Gifting tab carries the full rack, and every "Buy as gift" line under the shelf cards does the same.
  • The station is louder now. I am counting that as a win.
