Western Rye Day 3 Update Notes
Howdy Gunslingers!
Thank you all for the incredible feedback and support since launch. We're keeping the momentum going and tackling your reports as fast as possible. Here is what's packed into today’s update:
Quests & Storyline
Blacksmith Mission: Adjusted pacing and quest steps for a smoother flow.
Vendor Dialogue: Fixed duplicated text lines when interacting with vendors during quest steps.
First Quest Improvement: Made Sarah’s Bag significantly more visible so it’s easier to spot.
Hollow Cult: Tweaked and rebalanced key storyline events and progression nodes.
Gameplay, Crafting & Balance
Demolition Hammer Added: You can now use the Demolition Hammer to pick up and move already placed furniture in your base/camp.
Loot Rebalance: Adjusted and rebalanced item spawn rates and loot table distribution inside containers across the world.
Crafting Overhaul: Rebalanced recipes and adjusted required quantities for several crafting materials.
Multiplayer & Inventory Fixes
Pickup Glitch Fixed: Resolved an issue where some players couldn't pick up items in the open world.
Friend Item Sharing: Fixed a bug that prevented players from picking up items dropped directly by their friends in co-op.
Audio Enhancements
Horse Sound Fix: Removed the wet/watery audio artifact when riding your horse.
Saloon Ambient Audio: Fixed NPC dialogue/sound loops continuing to play after closing conversations in the saloon.
Saloon Music: Added brand-new background music to give the saloon a proper Wild West vibe.
Visuals, UI & Collision
Crosshair Visibility: Tweaked the crosshair to make it much clearer against bright environments.
Screen Smearing: Applied a potential fix for visual ghosting and temporal smearing during fast camera rotation.
Display Stretching: Fixed resolution scaling issues causing UI and visual stretching on certain display aspect ratios.
Collision Fixes: Resolved collision issues with saloon doors and various prop geometries across the map.
Plus minor bug fixes and performance tweaks under the hood.
