1.3.0 — Mascot Studio, Your Week & audio consent

VantGrid · published

A big one — your mascot becomes a canvas, your week tells a story, and your privacy stays yours.

New

  • Mascot Studio — image layers: upload images and place them right on your mascot: drag to move, duplicate, mirror, reorder with thumbnails. Save when it is ready — friends only ever see finished creations, and you can discard a draft.
  • Your mascot travels: friends see your full creation (images included) on the back of your profile card — encrypted and device-to-device, like everything else.
  • Your week: the activity screen now keeps a small local diary — hours of music, games played, focus sessions, your most-played game and artist of the month. Private by default: nothing leaves your device unless you turn sharing on, and you can hide it entirely.
  • Together now: when a friend is playing or listening to the same thing as you, their row gets a subtle shared glow.
  • Last seen: offline friends keep a quiet gray trace of what they were playing or listening to, instead of vanishing.
  • New audio sources ask first: when VantGrid detects a new music source, it asks before showing or sharing anything.

Improved

  • Faster startup: the app loads dramatically less on boot (languages now load on demand).
  • Lighter memory: long soundboard sessions no longer accumulate memory; applying themes and wallpapers is snappier.

Fixed

  • Mascot sharing reliability: every image layer now arrives after a reconnect, and a stale network echo can no longer wipe or revert a newer mascot. Extra security hardening under the hood.
  • Activity screen: the invite-a-friend prompt no longer flashes at people who already have friends.
