High-priority startup - your wallpaper can load right at login, before the desktop finishes coming up. Turn it on from the first-launch startup prompt or in Settings. (Windows)
Update prompt - when a new version is ready, the app shows a prompt with a one-click Quit to update.
Improvements
Wallpapers are added to your library only when you bookmark them, not automatically when you play or download one.
Fixes
Closing Steam no longer stops your wallpaper or kills the tray icon. The wallpaper keeps playing, the tray stays available, and the app reconnects on its own when Steam reopens.
Stopping the app from your Steam library now quits it cleanly.
Clearer startup status: the app now tells "waiting for Steam" apart from "offline" and no longer spins an empty loading screen when offline.
Correct monitor sizing on high-DPI and multi-monitor setups. (Windows)
The first-launch startup prompt no longer briefly freezes the window. (Windows)
The app updates correctly when high-priority startup is enabled. (Windows)
Better fallback on KDE and Steam Runtime setups where the desktop integration was previously unreachable. (Linux)
