Gameplay & Camera Update

Rusalka Wrath Playtest · published

⚔️ Gameplay & Mechanics

🎥 Camera
The camera has been fully reworked to feel more cinematic and more playable. The infamous “mouse swing” issue is gone. Sensitivity is smoother, transitions are cleaner, and framing stays stable even in the middle of combat.

🔫 Weapon Throwing
Empty guns don’t just hit the floor anymore. When you’re out of ammo you can throw your weapon at enemies to briefly stun them. Desperate moments call for dirty tactics.

🥊 Combat Flow
Stuttering during Boxing attacks has been fixed. Fights now feel tighter, faster, and far more responsive.

🛡️ Dodge Timing
The dodge window has been slightly widened. It’s more forgiving without killing the risk–reward tension.

🚶 Movement Animations
A new backward movement animation has been added. Combat footwork is clearer and movement feels more natural.

🎯 Tutorial Dummies
Training dummies in the tutorial now use clearer, more readable sprites.

🐛 Bug Fixes

✅ Fixed the mouse cursor escaping the game window on dual-monitor setups
✅ Fixed the crosshair disappearing after death or respawn
✅ Fixed Ivan’s dialogue getting stuck in an infinite loop
✅ Cleaned up overlapping UI text across the menus

🎨 Visuals & Feel

💥 Screen Shake
Screen shake has been rebalanced. Hits feel brutal without being disorienting.

⏱️ Finisher Text
Finisher text now stays on screen longer so it’s actually readable during combat.

🗣️ Closing Note

Your feedback genuinely matters to us. If there’s something you want to see improved, changed, or added, feel free to say it. We’re listening and we’re actively iterating based on your comments, refining the game step by step.

🗽 That’s it for now.
The streets are rougher. The fights hit harder.
Jump back in, try the new build, and tell us how it feels.

We’ll see you in New York.
