V.A.U.L.T. PROTOCOL · published · build 22368960
Hello operatives.
We've been hard at work inside the vault again.
Some things got deadlier, some things got cheaper, and a lot of things got fixed.
This update brings new threats, new weapons, a redesigned main menu, leaderboards, localization support, and a lot more.
Let’s dive in.
The facility is becoming a much more dangerous place.
We added several new threats, both stationary and roaming.
Static Threats
These don’t move much… but they can ruin your day very quickly.
Turret
A stationary defense system that locks onto players after a short delay and starts firing.
Puke Guy
Yes… that is unfortunately his official name. You'll understand why when you meet him.
Operator Maw
A rotating carnivorous plant that patiently waits for someone to wander a little too close. Dynamic Threats
These threats move around the map and make every run more unpredictable.
Martin
A strange snail-turtle creature that loves staring contests. If you stare back long enough… things might escalate.
Observer
Something is watching you. We’re not entirely sure what it wants, but it definitely noticed you first.
Tforg
A new roaming threat that adds even more chaos to your expeditions.
Several new melee weapons have been added and are now available in the Market.
If you prefer solving problems the old-fashioned way (hitting them),
you now have more tools for the job.
The Market now supports item discounts.
Items can randomly go on sale, which means checking the store regularly might actually pay off.
Your wallet might survive the vault after all.
Loot is no longer only scattered across the map.
You can now also find loot inside cabinets and lockers.
If something can be opened… it’s probably worth checking.
The Factory map received a major expansion.
Added:
2 new environment themes
15 new room designs
This significantly increases map variety and makes each run feel more unique.
We have added the localization system to the game.
Currently supported languages:
English
Turkish
More languages may come in the future.
A Leader Board system has been added.
Now you can compete with other crews and see who really dominates the vault.
Time to prove your squad is the best salvage team out there.
The main menu UI has been completely redesigned.
Navigation should now feel cleaner and more intuitive.
You can now join games from our new open lobbies panel. This makes it easier to jump in and play with friends without any Steam UI action. We made major adjustments to:
Procedural generation
Loot distribution
In-game economy
Runs should now feel better paced and more balanced.
We spent a lot of time fixing issues across the game. ~120 small bugs (mostly networking related)
17 medium-scale critical issues
3 large critical bugs
Overall stability should now be significantly improved.
We’re continuing to expand Vault Protocol with new threats, mechanics, and content.
And as always:
If you see something strange in the vault…
report it.
Unless it starts moving.
Then you should probably run first.
Thanks for playing VAULT PROTOCOL.
More updates coming soon. 🚀
