In the past, we had a pretty simple global chat where everyone was just talking in one big room. Now, you can switch between channels using commands like /g for global chat and /w for whisper. You can also type out the full command like /global or /whisper if you prefer. The system will also remember which channel you were last chatting in, and you can reply to the latest whisper with /r. I'm planning on adding even more channels soon, like /p for party chat.
I'm also introducing a new character tag system. This means that you no longer have to worry about grabbing a unique name. You can pick any name you like, and the game will automatically add a four-digit tag (like Name#1234). That way, if you want to whisper or invite someone, you just use their name and tag. This feature will tie into the upcoming friends and grouping systems as well.
