Pizza Turbo · published
Well, I’m getting pretty close to releasing the DEMO, and in October, the 1.0 version of PIZZA TURBO.
Yes, straight to 1.0. You read that right.
And before you find yourself driving a pizza box at 150 km/h while a nuclear bomb is trying to ruin your entire day, I’d like to explain a little bit about what the hell you’re going to find inside the game.
The goal of PIZZA TURBO is pretty simple:
DELIVER PIZZAS.
You have to complete your deliveries before the timer runs out or the pizza’s temperature reaches zero.
Temperature basically works as your health: it constantly decreases and is also affected by the various traps you’ll encounter throughout the map.
Simple, right?
Well...
Because obviously I wasn’t going to make a game about delivering pizzas normally.
While making deliveries, you HAVE TO perform stunts.
Stunts help you maintain the pizza’s temperature while also getting a better style rating at the end of each delivery.
Because in PIZZA TURBO, IT’S NOT JUST ABOUT DELIVERING.
If you wanted to simply drive to someone’s house, ring the doorbell, and hand them a pizza, you probably picked the wrong game.
You can currently perform several different types of stunts:
FRONT FLIP
BACK FLIP
SIDE FLIP — left and right
AIR TIME — the longer you stay in the air, the better
CLOSE — passing dangerously close to traps
GRIND — do you like grinding on rails like this is Tony Hawk?
And then there’s...
Probably one of the most interesting systems in the game.
MEGAMIX works as a multiplier that rewards you for combining different combos while you’re in the air.
For example:
FRONT FLIP + SIDE FLIP = X2
And obviously, you can keep combining things.
Because doing a stunt while delivering a pizza wasn’t enough.
You had to do it over and over again while getting progressively closer to death.
This is where things get more exciting.
PIZZA TURBO currently has 10 traps — and more will be added — and each one has its own special way of trying to ruin your delivery.
Mines, bombs, saws, lasers, and other things that probably shouldn’t be anywhere near a pizza.
And this is where one of the most important concepts in the game comes in:
The better you play, the more things you unlock.
And what do you get?
More ways to die.
Traps are unlocked as you progress so the difficulty gradually increases.
So basically:
PLAYER:
“I’m getting better!”
PIZZA TURBO:
“Yes.”
PLAYER:
“What do I get?”
PIZZA TURBO:
“A new bomb.”
Because apparently the traps weren’t enough.
There are also different weather conditions that can change how your deliveries work.
You can encounter:
RAIN
SNOW
JUPITER GRAVITY
And other effects that will make driving a pizza box even less reasonable.
But it’s not all suffering.
There are also weather conditions that can actually help you, such as HOT DAYS.
Because for once, the universe decided to help you.
It’s probably a bug.
This is probably one of my favorite parts.
As you gain FAME, you unlock new traps, weather conditions...
And also:
Pizzas work as temporary driving upgrades.
For example:
Pepperoni Pizza → Double Jump
And there are many more.
These pizzas appear randomly and have different chances of appearing, following a system similar to:
COMMON → RARE → LEGENDARY
So you never really know what pizza you’re going to get.
Basically, you’re making a delivery and suddenly the game tells you:
“Here. This pizza lets you jump twice now.”
And you just accept it.
Because we’ve already gone way too far to start questioning things.
Alright.
As I mentioned earlier, the game is about making deliveries on time and with style.
But...
What else?
PIZZA TURBO is divided into DAYS, and each day contains 4 deliveries.
Each delivery receives a rating based on two main aspects:
S / A / B / C / D / F
S / A / B / C / D / F
Those two things determine your final result and, most importantly:
FAME is one of the game’s main progression systems.
It’s used to unlock:
New traps
New weather conditions
New pizzas
New areas
And parts of the story and LORE
Yes.
LORE.
A game where you drive a pizza box has lore.
And I’m not apologizing for it.
Besides the normal deliveries, there are also different side missions scattered throughout the map.
Currently, you can find:
DESTROY ANTENNAS — required to unlock new areas.
RACES
LIGHT RED GREEN
I’m not going to explain too much about them because I don’t want to spoil anything.
I’ll just say that...
Not everything that looks like a side mission is actually that much of a side mission.
PIZZA TURBO also has different collectibles.
Throughout the map, you’ll find advertisements belonging to the enemy company.
Your job is simple:
Find them and destroy them.
Why?
Because yes.
Destroy enough advertisements and you can unlock skin packs for your pizza box.
Because nothing says “corporate resistance” like a pizza box destroying advertisements.
There are also coins scattered throughout the entire map.
These can be used to buy skins for your pizza box.
So if you see a coin in a completely ridiculous and dangerous location...
It’s probably important.
The PIZZA TURBO map is divided into 3 major unlockable areas.
These areas are unlocked through FAME.
But before you can access each new area, you’ll have to complete a special mission:
Because apparently a pizza box can also handle industrial sabotage.
As you progress, you’ll discover more about the world, the characters, and what’s actually going on.
And after making your way through all three areas...
there’s a boss.
I’m not going to explain anything else.
I don’t want to spoil it.
All I’ll say is that it’s probably not what you’d expect to find at the end of a game about delivering pizzas.
The map isn’t limited to the streets either.
PIZZA TURBO has quite a bit of verticality, and you’ll be able to explore:
Streets
Buildings
Rooftops
Shortcuts
Hidden areas
Secrets
Coins
Advertisements
And places you probably shouldn’t be visiting
You’ll even have to make deliveries on rooftops.
Why?
Because apparently our customers consider walking down four flights of stairs to be too much effort.
You deliver pizzas.
You do flips.
You avoid mines.
You grind on rails.
You fly over buildings.
You unlock traps.
You eat pizzas to improve your driving.
You destroy antennas.
You destroy advertisements.
You collect coins.
You gain FAME.
You discover secrets.
You find lore.
And eventually...
you have to fight a boss.
All of this...
Just to deliver a pizza.
Because apparently this was a good idea.
A pizza delivery game.
OH, and I almost forgot.
Because, like every respectable game in 2026, PIZZA TURBO also has an AI assistant.
Except...
It’s a Tamagotchi with 1 KB of memory.
So, uh...
don’t expect too much from it.
