Two weeks of work on top of the last build. Getting into a match is now a single click, the map remembers the places you care about, and the game runs on Mac and Linux.
Multiplayer
- Quick Match: Steam matchmaking with public lobbies, so you can join a session without a code
- Multiplayer panel rebuilt to explain itself, with a tooltip on every button
- Your Steam ID is shown in the panel with a button that copies it to the clipboard
- Health bars for players and ships are drawn on a quad and are visible to everyone in the match
- Healing and damage effects are replicated to the other players, and now stop correctly at full health
- Multiplayer scene and character prefabs reworked, with LODs on the characters
Navigation and map
- Points of interest: save a coordinate, rename it, delete it, and let the game guide you to it
- Waypoint tooltip localized, with the texts imported into the scriptable objects
- Units of measurement switch between metric and imperial, deduced from your region and overridable in the options
- Crossing a region border now shows a line in the dialogs telling you where you are
Ship and balance
- Ship stats replace Efficiency and Range with a single Engine Performance value
- Fuel capacity, consumption and hull are now tuned separately for every ship
Interface
- Menu panels have a single owner and names that no longer overlap
- Inventory canvas rebuilt as a prefab, with slot capacities renamed so they read as capacity and not as a maximum
- New shop slot prefab
- Three more missions wired into the dialog UI
- Mission target refreshes from the mission button, and the old update search button is gone
- New sound for the Thalassa panel
Gameplay
- Build mode is gated on the building areas and always targets the closest one
- Thalassa hands out a reward for each completed fragment group
- World spawner places unique objects in fixed quantities
- New projectiles, with the old placeholder art removed
- Cinematic camera used for the trailer footage
Fixes
- The ship no longer pushes forward on its own while a panel is open
- Opening a panel while moving no longer breaks player movement
- The oxygen refill effect is visible again after a drowning
- Bodyguard AI no longer breaks on missions taken after the acquisition
- Kamikaze duck now targets the right mission objective
- Projectile bug fixed
- Health bar no longer tinted with the duck colour, since the shader does not expose it
- Thalassa no longer floats on the surface, and her effects follow her correctly
- Interactables persist as expected
Platforms
- Linux build on IL2CPP Release, live on the linux-test branch
- macOS build on IL2CPP Release with its own bundle id, and DisplayP3 in the colour gamut for wide gamut displays
- Steamworks configured for all three platforms
- Engine updated to Unity 6000.3.9f1
