Greetings Adventurers,
v0.3.0.9 is now live!
This update brings another round of new content to Vellgar, with Stonebridge receiving its own new quests and Beer Brewing joining the growing list of production systems.
Alongside the new content, we've also worked through several progression and gameplay issues – including Tool durability, Banking, Statistics, Composting, and a few particularly stubborn UI problems.
Stonebridge has received a new set of quests!
As with the quest additions to previous settlements, these are intended to give the city more of its own identity while providing additional reasons to interact with its inhabitants, locations, and local activities.
This also continues our ongoing work of filling the existing world with more meaningful content before expanding further into Vellgar.
You can now brew Beer!
The first additions include Riverstone Hops and Mason Ale, a simple everyday beer intended more for the working population of Vellgar than the shelves of some prestigious wine cellar.
Beer Brewing provides another use for agricultural resources and lays the groundwork for additional drinks and brewing progression in future updates.
Mysticism has received new Weak and Strong Herbicide recipes, providing another practical use for the skill alongside its existing potions, salves, and enchantments.
The Kiln now also produces Ash as a byproduct, further connecting existing production systems and giving another useful resource a more natural source within the world.
An issue with Tool progression has been corrected.
Higher-tier Tools could previously suffer disproportionately high durability loss when used on much lower-tier resources. Their durability behavior should now scale more sensibly, making upgrading your equipment feel like an actual improvement rather than occasionally becoming a disadvantage.
Currency tracking has received some improvements.
Coins Earned and Coins Spent should now be recorded correctly, and we've added a new Coins Lost statistic to keep track of the less successful side of your financial adventures.
Freight costs are also displayed properly in Copper, Silver, and Gold instead of appearing as raw Coin values.
We've fixed an issue that could cause items to be lost while using Drag & Drop during Banking.
Fish with decimal quantities can now correctly be added to Composters, Herb Mixes no longer unexpectedly fail during production, and we've addressed what should hopefully be the final remaining cause of the Chat occasionally jumping back to the top.
As always, there are some additional smaller balancing and Quality-of-Life improvements included as well.
