Greetings Adventurers,
v0.3.3.4 is now live!
This Steam update combines the changes from v0.3.3.3 and v0.3.3.4, bringing another collection of new features and Quality-of-Life improvements to Guilds of Mountgate.
The biggest addition is the first version of the new Achievement & Title system, but there are plenty of other additions as well – including Player Notes, the Fishing Pouch, multi-item selection, improved Shipments, and several important fixes.
Achievements are now available!
Your accomplishments throughout Vellgar can now unlock Achievements, with selected milestones also rewarding Titles that can be displayed alongside your character.
Titles aren't limited to a single appearance either. You can customize their color and presentation, giving you some freedom over how your accomplishments are displayed to other players.
This is only the beginning of the system. More Achievements and Titles will continue to be added as Guilds of Mountgate grows.
You can now create Player Notes, giving you a simple way to keep track of whatever is important to you while playing.
Whether it's something you want to remember for later, resources you're currently looking for, or your own plans for the next session – you no longer need to keep everything outside the game.
Fishing received another useful piece of equipment with the new Fishing Pouch.
It provides dedicated storage for your Fishing Baits and helps keep your regular Inventory a little cleaner while you're out chasing the next Personal Best.
Inventory management has received some additional tools.
By holding ALT, you can now select multiple items at once.
We've also expanded the Crate system so that non-stackable items can now be placed inside Crates, making them much more useful for transporting certain types of equipment and goods.
The Shipment System has been reworked and rebalanced.
Shipping costs now come with a proper price breakdown, making it much easier to understand where the final price of a shipment actually comes from.
Combined with the expanded Crate system, moving larger amounts of goods between regional Storages should now feel considerably more transparent and practical.
Maximum working durations and their associated efficiency losses have been reconsidered and rebalanced.
Batch Cooking failures have also been adjusted to reduce extreme failure spikes. Failed production remains part of the system, but results should now feel less prone to unusually punishing streaks.
Arrow Shafts can also be used as Firewood, and Cheese is now available from various merchants throughout the world.
Players who don't need the full guided introduction can now skip the restrictions of the introductory questline.
This includes restrictions such as travel warnings and the gradual hiding of Activity or Resource Nodes during the early tutorial progression.
The questline itself remains available, but experienced players have more freedom to move ahead at their own pace.
Several important issues have also been addressed across both versions.
Inventory items should no longer unexpectedly change positions, and another rare but potentially critical issue affecting players with higher latency – where one Item Stack could overwrite another – has been fixed.
Private Messages now appear immediately while keeping the Chat open, Inventory scrolling on smaller displays should no longer jump back up when selecting an item, and the Traveler's Talk interaction should disappear correctly when it is no longer available.
We've also fixed localization issues during email registration, inconsistencies involving Wildberries, and previously reported problems with Consumables.
As always, there are several additional UI and Quality-of-Life improvements included as well.
The complete patch notes for both versions are available on our website.
Thank you for all the feedback and bug reports. With Achievements and Titles now in place, another piece of the long-term progression structure is finally entering the game – and there is plenty more planned for it.
Have fun collecting your first Achievements and deciding which Title deserves to follow your name. 🏆
See you in Vellgar!
