NEW UPDATE! THE APOCALYPSE JUST GOT UGLIER!

YOU vs Zombies · published

To all you lucky souls already bitten by the beta test build: a brand-new update has just bumbled in!

The infection spreads. The horde grows smarter. The apocalypse just got a whole lot uglier.

  • Two new nightmare zones uncovered: The Hotel and The Industrial Estate. Enter if you dare... but don't expect to leave unchanged.

  • A new terror emerges. Burrowing infected now stalk the later stages of the outbreak, erupting from beneath your feet when you least expect it.

  • Mission intro and outro objective text is now created per-story beat, per-hero, instead of being pre-written. Guiding you deeper into a hyper-customized nightmare.

  • Your arsenal has evolved. Grenades have been rebalanced, and ability upgrades now surface more often as you fight to stay alive.

  • Even the dead have style. Every zombie now shambles in their own uniquely cursed pair of shoes.

  • The infection mutates. Zombies grow tougher as the story progresses, forcing you to adapt... or become one of them.

  • Survival upgrades have been rewritten so their effects are clearer when every second counts.

  • A chilling new opening sequence sets the tone for your first descent into the apocalypse, with enemy spawns reworked to match.

  • The runaway inferno returns. The flaming train once again tears through the rural rail yard, incinerating anything in its path.

  • The ambient horde has been improved. The world feels more alive... or rather, more undead than ever.

  • Some powers have been strengthened. "Suck Up" abilities now pull harder, pickup range has increased, and drops linger longer before being reclaimed by the wasteland.

  • Reality has been stitched back together. Restarting a level will no longer let heroes cling to upgrades they shouldn't have.

  • A new typeface rises from the grave, allowing the game to better support a wider range of languages.

  • Countless corpses... countless fixes. Various bugs have been put down for good.

  • The world has shifted. Extensive level flow and environmental improvements make every escape route feel just a little less safe.

Stay alert. Stay armed. And whatever you do... don't stop moving.
