Version 4.8 — Match Balance & Gameplay Fixes

Cricket Management Tycoon · published

Match Engine

Fixed batting collapses happening too frequently — wicket probability in T10, T20, and ODI formats has been recalibrated with lower baselines and a collapse protection system for early innings

Fixed repeated "Chance!" commentary appearing multiple times in the same over — near-miss events now have a cooldown so they feel meaningful rather than spammy

Misfields are no longer flagged as dismissal chances in the match log

Fixed a bug where promoting a lower-order batter would skip available middle-order batters, causing the innings to behave as if the side was all out
Defensive batting is now a more meaningful survival choice with lower wicket risk; attacking batting carries a clearer run-scoring vs wicket-risk trade-off

AI bowling selection now restricts to credible bowlers — ordinary batters will no longer bowl full spells when genuine options are available

AI chase aggression now correctly accounts for balls remaining mid-over rather than only whole overs

Fixed AI batters at the crease during a chase being too passive after wickets fall in a T20

World League

Fixed a crash when creating a league containing both the New Zealand Northern Knights and Ireland Northern Knights — the duplicate team ID has been resolved

League team selection screen now uses a composite key so it remains stable even when older save data is loaded

Transfer Market & Domestic

Fixed an issue with the domestic player mix in the transfer market
