Career Projects & Steam Deck Input Update
Career Projects
- Added a new Career Projects desk under Development, where long-term programs can permanently shape wrestlers and staff.
- Added Star Partnership: pair a rising wrestler with an established star for 4-6 weeks to earn "the rub" through matches, promos, corner work, and shared angles.
- Added The Project: assign a veteran or coach to develop a younger wrestler while building the guide's own legacy.
- Added The Excursion: send a wrestler away for focused development, with real roster availability costs and a changed wrestler returning at the end.
- Added The Moment: outstanding matches, promos, and title performances can create permanent career breakthroughs and short-lived development opportunities.
- Added The Repackage: let the creative team rebuild a wrestler's presentation, with results influenced by the people carrying the project.
- Completed projects create permanent career receipts for wrestlers and legacy credit for the people who helped them.
- Project invitations and payoffs appear in the Inbox, while relevant results reach World News and wrestler profiles.
- Rival promotions can run their own projects and develop wrestlers through career nights.
Controller, Steam Deck & Touch (beta)
- Added controller-first spatial focus navigation across startup screens, gameplay screens, menus, dialogs, and settings.
- Added controller actions for selecting, going back, closing the top overlay, opening search and help, changing tabs, paging, scrolling, and common menu shortcuts.
- Added an Input Method setting with Auto-detect, Mouse & Keyboard, Controller, and Touchscreen options in both startup and in-game settings.
- Added controller text entry through Steam or the operating-system keyboard, with a built-in fallback keyboard when needed.
- Added prompt switching for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, and generic controllers.
- Added touchscreen and long-press alternatives for hover, context-menu, and drag-only interactions, plus direct controls for reorderable content.
- Improved 1280x800 handling and responsive overflow behavior for Steam Deck-sized startup, gameplay, and modal screens.
New Career & Save Safety
- Fixed new careers incorrectly inheriting titles, roster assignments, runtime-created promotions, or progression from the currently loaded save.
- Intentional World Editor templates, imports, and starter-roster rules continue to work normally.
- Career Projects use additive save data that is normalized when loaded, so existing saves remain supported.
Roster
- Added a compact option to the roster page that allows the wrestler cards to be smaller so more wrestlers can fit on screen.
