Update - Multiple Promotions & Pre-taped Shows

Promo Wrestling World · published

TV tapings

  • Plan television tapings: Promotions can group 2-4 TV episodes into one taping plan covering up to two weeks. This lets you record future weekly episodes together while using one crowd and venue setup. House shows and PPVs are not eligible.
  • Tape episodes in order: Each episode must have a completed card and is taped individually. After one episode is taped, it locks and the next episode becomes active.
  • Injuries carry forward: Injuries and availability changes from the first taped show are applied before you tape the next one, so an injured wrestler cannot simply continue through the whole batch.
  • Clear taping progress: The Booking screen highlights your current episode and displays its show name, date, and status. Finished episodes display as Taped and Awaiting Air until their broadcast date.
  • Calendar information: The Calendar distinguishes planned tapings, taped episodes awaiting broadcast, and completed shows. Injury warnings also identify booked wrestlers who are affected.
  • No unfinished tapings left behind: The game stops time advancement when a required taping episode is still unbooked or untaped. You can edit the plan and remove unwanted episodes before recording begins.
  • Taping savings: The first episode receives the live gate. Later episodes avoid a second gate and receive reduced venue, travel, and production costs.

Run Multiple Promotions

  • Run multiple promotions: Select Promotion Group when starting a new career to control 2-4 separate promotions from the same era in one shared wrestling world.
  • Choose your headquarters: Pick one promotion as your group headquarters during setup. You will still retain direct control over every company selected for the group.
  • Switch between companies: Use the new promotion selector in the top bar to move between your controlled promotions. It displays each company’s cash, next show, and important booking warnings.
  • Keep every promotion independent: Each company maintains its own roster, contracts, championships, teams, stables, staff, brands, finances, media rights, sponsors, schedules, shows, tapings, and tours.
  • Advance the entire world together: All controlled promotions share one calendar and world date. Advancing time processes every company in your promotion group at the same time.
  • Never miss another company’s show: Before time advances, the game checks every promotion you control. If another company has an unfinished show or taping, you will be directed to the promotion that needs attention.
  • Background company processing: Promotions you are not currently viewing continue to process payroll, contracts, expenses, schedules, and other company activity during each advance.
  • Expanded promotion acquisitions: After purchasing a promotion, you can keep it as a separate company and choose to manage it directly or delegate its day-to-day operation to staff.
  • Keep existing acquisition choices: Acquired promotions can still be merged into one of your brands or closed instead of being operated as an independent company.
  • Improved new-game setup: The promotion selection screen now includes clear Single Promotion and Promotion Group options, a visible NEW tag, a compact layout, inline difficulty ratings, and cleaner promotion cards.
  • Promotion group save support: The game remembers your active promotion and each company’s separate operational state when saving and loading your career.

Promotion-specific teams and factions

  • Different identity in each company: Tag teams, trios, stables, and factions can now use a different name and presentation for individual promotions, similar to wrestler alter egos.
  • For example, the same pairing can use one team identity in a major promotion and another identity when working elsewhere.
  • These assignments can be created in World Editor, are preserved in saves, and automatically appear when the group is used by the assigned promotion.

Modern Era world expansion

  • A new Canadian starting promotion: Boreal Crown Wrestling joins the Modern Era, giving players another country and promotion to choose when beginning a career. Note: For existing users, you may have to reset World Editor ERA to default to see new promotion
  • BCW includes a 22-person roster, television presence, championships, a recurring event schedule, and custom company and event branding.
  • Country presentation: Promotion cards now use country flags and subtle national styling, making each company's home easier to identify at a glance.
  • Promotion cards were simplified, with difficulty moved consistently to the bottom-right corner.

Display currency

  • Choose how money is displayed: Players can select USD, CAD, GBP, EUR, JPY, MXN, AUD, NZD, or BRL in startup Settings or in-game Settings.
  • The selected currency updates immediately across the top bar and major finance, booking, contract, negotiation, and free-agent screens.
  • Display only: This changes how monetary values are shown to the player. It does not change company wealth, game balance, or the underlying values stored in save files.

Interface and resolution fixes

  • Improved Start New Game, career setup, promotion selection, and startup Settings layouts on smaller and intermediate desktop resolutions.
  • Fixed launch-screen backgrounds ending early, leaving a blank strip, or causing unnecessary horizontal scrolling.
  • Aligned Booking venue, production, and show-goal controls more cleanly at compact desktop widths.
  • Fixed How to Play reopening against the left edge after display or UI-scale changes. It now opens centered while still remembering a valid user-set position.
