This update will deliver more enhancements to performance and stability, as well as fixes for the marketplace and vendors, homestead placement and loss, and some of the sources of server crashes.
Our maintenance window will start at 11:00 AM Pacific / 2:00 PM Eastern, and we expect servers to be back online by 1:00 PM Pacific / 4:00 PM Eastern. But always remember, you can keep an eye on Server Status for the latest updates!
We have implemented more optimizations around trees and flora on very cold planets. This should improve performance on these planets significantly.
We identified a serialization issue with our update for those players who had items up for sale prior to the update, where they could not see them on their sell tab. We were able resolve the issue, and you should be able to interact with those previous sales now.
People have been reporting losing homesteads during placement. We've determined this is likely from initiating placement multiple times, causing the loss of the one "on the cursor." We added additional safeguards to prevent this from happening. Additionally, we added a few other fixes and quality of life improvements to the process of placing a homestead:
You will automatically get homestead boundaries turned on while placing homes or camps. This will make placement much easier!
We have fixed the half-tile offset that was put in place by mistake in the last update. Unfortunately, this does not fix your homesteads already placed since then, because we don't know which direction to shift them in based on what you have built.
Homesteads and camps will not be consumed until placement is final, rather than being consumed from your cursor.
We continue to pursue some very difficult to reproduce server crashes. One possible cause has been addressed, related to detecting bodies of water, lava, etc. for generating background sound. We have removed the system temporarily to see if the rate of crashing decreases, and will replace the system with a new one we have been planning, as soon as possible.
