Death in a Party · published · build 25134689
After a frustratingly long silence, I'm here with news and tidings of things to come.
Firstly, a new Beta build is available to download and test! This contains some upcoming changes and small bits of new content that need testing properly before they're ready. Nothing huge, but some features significant enough to cause crashes.
A list of some of the changes and notes for Beta Build (25134689):
The player will be made aware of a new inventory item called [Sketch Book]. This item will display new maps for many areas. This is especially useful in DISC.2D.
A new animation will play when BLUE gets very, very angry after closing the VPET. (Audio missing.)
Added a new scary event associated with the mysterious chat button. (Audio missing.)
More animations to certain UI elements.
Slightly updated the artwork for the Park's quick travel map.
A secret feature related to the chat button has been added to the Park map.
FIXES:
Fixed incorrect sprite displaying on the controls hint for EXP.3D.
Replaced more missing/unfinished text.
Fixed the player facing in the wrong direction when quick travelling to certain locations.
The chat button cursor now reacts when in an interactable location in EXP.3D. (Not fully tested and some areas are missing interactions still.)
There's not much I can share in this particular update, aside from I am now properly working on ACT II. The first main goal is to get a small play test made available to game testers. This will be to get feedback on planned changes to the 3D in new areas of the game, and to get to fine tuning and refining that for the best experience. Wait for more details on this in a future news update!
Over the next couple of week I've still got to get this new Beta build ready and finished for release which will take priority for now, and a few bits of house keeping.
Finally, the last bit of tiny new is that there have been a handful of random patches over the past few months that didn't have notes. These were just a variety of small fixes to critical errors and crashes.
