Dear Hollow Miners! Major Update 1.3 with Shadow Land Expansion is here!
This update adds new content and many quality-of-life improvements, with a big focus on combat.
Movement is smoother, hero is easier to see, and you can now dash across gaps. Be careful, because you can fall into them too.
Shadow Land Expansion has been added and introduces much more challenging experience with new enemies, and new rewards.
You can also unlock the new Assassin hero, use shuriken weapons, and try new abilities.
Bosses now unlock new blueprints. You can buy them from NPC shops and reuse them in future runs to craft specific items and weapons.
Hideout storage is limited, so choose the blueprints that fit your favorite heroes and builds.

Shadow land - A corrupted Hollow Mine with more enemies, harsher conditions, and unique rewards. A tougher adventure for experienced heroes. Unlock single run by completing a game or crafting shadow portal.
Assassin - New unlock-able character. It's little known about this hero, profession of this character requires a bit of discretion. Gather 100 black fibre during your runs in any mode to unlock this character.
Shadow Step Ability - allows player to traverse rooms using dashing and evade enemy projectiles without much delay.
Dashing through gaps - now game allows player to move much more naturally. Use this new traverse method to flank enemies and skip dangerous parts of the room. From the other side, hero can fall into gaps. Better look out!
Intuitive Movement - Your hero no longer stops when running into walls or gaps. Instead, they automatically slide along the obstacle based on your last movement direction, without losing speed. This makes movement feel smoother in tight corridors and helps you focus on aiming and fighting during intense moments.
Progression system improvements - Now defeating bosses grants unlocks as rewards. Player can unlock blueprints for potions, weapon sets, unique weapons, spells and jewelry. Once unlocked player can buy this blueprints from NPC's. Once bought, the blueprints can be used with crafting tables and stored in hideout for future reuse. Blueprints costs more, so be prepared for a challenge to gather a coins for them in a single run. In this approach blueprints system fits better into the game design and recently added hideout storage.
Blueprints are reusable, and the ones already bought will be marked in npc shop. Hideout personal chest space is limited, players will need to choose in which blueprints are worth keeping, to enhance their builds and playing style in future runs.
Hideout unlocks - Previously hideout needed to be unlocked for each run, it wasn't right. Now it's permanent, pay 150 coins once to unlock forest hideout and 300 coins for mine hideout access. You won't need to repeat it in future runs.
Shuriken weapon set - throwable weapon treated as range projectiles and with unique animation.
Widow Maker Shuriken - unique version of shuriken weapon with increased attack speed and +% to critical chance perk
Widow Maker Dagger - unique version of dagger weapon with increased parameters and +% to critical chance perk
Black Fibre - mysterious crafting material which is needed to craft shadow portal scroll. Also it can be used for crafting and repairing widow maker unique weapons.
Shadow Portal Scroll - crafting this mysterious item grants access token to shadow land mode.
Evil Wraith Enemy - Can see you through walls, destroy walls and teleport close to you. For each biome there is a variation of evil wraith that is more harsher then previous ones.
Wraith NPC - will guide you to shadow land and how to craft shadow portal
Shadow Land Boss Encounters – New and updated Shadow Land boss rooms, including a more dangerous version of the Flame Demon with adjusted attacks.
New Abilities – Added passives that grant additional ranged or magic projectiles, along with new weapon durability upgrades. This follows with further adjustments in the area for balancing e.g. some existing abilities benefit melee weapons in exchange. Punch back was extended and now deals damage to enemies when they touch a wall after being pushed away. Reapers Ricochet works only with melee weapons now.
Japanese and Simplified Chinese – Added complete language support, including new fonts and translated game content.
Improved Controller Support – Expanded gamepad support across menus, selection screens, and gameplay interactions.
Added new achievements for completing Shadow Land multiple times.
Added new Wraith conversations before and after Shadow Land runs.
Added a unique Shadow Land ending room.
Added a post-boss storage room with access to the personal chest.
Added new rooms before biome bosses.
Reworked several fixed rooms using the new static room system.
Added unbreakable walls to static rooms.
Added interaction outlines to usable objects.
Added a visible shadow beneath the player.
Added smoother movement along walls and gaps.
Players can now dash across gaps.
Worms and zombies can use new flanking movement and attack behavior.
Weapon descriptions now show their damage category.
Character damage bonuses are applied according to weapon type.
Expanded the player statistics panel to display more abilities.
Improved character reward preferences.
Rebalanced enemies, item drops, rare weapons, and unique weapon rewards.
Increased resource stack sizes.
Improved waypoint travel.
Improved the first Forest room and several late-game rooms.
Updated room objective and modifier information.
Prevented enemies from spawning outside the unit spawn grid.
Fixed rooms completing before all required enemies were defeated.
Fixed camera positioning in tall rooms.
Removed irrelevant combat stats and durability bars from portal scrolls, blueprints, and similar utility items.
