The Loomsong Chronicle Idle · published · build 25192915

Builds 0.756–0.758
This update brings a refreshed interface, a more useful minimap, better party travel, and a broad collection of combat, equipment, revival, and save improvements.
Interface Refresh
- Added new painted artwork across menus, buttons, tooltips, inventory slots, and confirmation windows.
- Updated High Anchorage, Party Management, storage, shops, crafting, Player Town, portals, Bestiary, Lore, and Options with the new look.
- Cleaned up panel edges, unwanted black corners, overlapping inventory borders, and checkbox alignment.
- Restored full character details beside the Trait and Skill Mastery collections without resizing the cards.
- Added the complete character-details section to the Pets page, including attributes, equipment load, and racial information.
- Improved Options and Loot Filter layouts at larger UI scales. Removed lengthy Hunger and Thirst penalty descriptions from Character Stats; their details remain available through status information.
A More Useful Minimap
- Added markers for herbs, mining nodes, chopping trees, hunts, unskinned carcasses, enemies, Bosses, and Guardians.
- Added an illustrated frame, compass decoration, and clearer symbols for resources, landmarks, chests, and portals.
- Hovering over an individual marker now shows information about that location or creature. Empty map space no longer displays a generic tooltip.
- Removed completed generic-site dots from the map, while keeping their underlying exploration content intact. Markers update as creatures move and resources are collected or return.
Party Travel And Revival
- Improved how traveling companions stay together, especially when party members have different movement speeds.
- Reduced unnecessary avoidance movements and abrupt formation changes around route bends.
- Improved exploration and detour decisions to reduce avoidable backtracking and conflicting movement directions.
- Returning Breath can now revive eligible allies after combat, while retaining its normal costs, cooldown, and casting requirements.
- Improved fallback to revive kits or bare-handed revival when a revival spell cannot be started. Peaceful buffs, healing, and weapon swaps no longer unnecessarily block manual revival.
- Fixed cases where permanently dead recruits remained in the roster after a wipe. Living reserves retain their equipment, progression, and pending card choices.
Combat, Stats And Equipment
- Healing Received now applies consistently across health restoration, including potions, regeneration, life leech, block-overflow healing, and revival.
- Life leech now uses the enemy’s actual health lost, rather than granting extra healing from overkill damage.
- Shield Throw now uses the equipped shield’s modified armor value.
- Added elemental damage on Blood Orbs now correctly supports the active main-hand weapon.
- Fixed several summon interactions with regeneration, armor, resistances, buffs, debuffs, and freezing.
- Corrected physical-to-fire damage conversion on applicable abilities.
- Fixed critical-hit calculations on bouncing projectiles and damage reduction across chained or piercing hits, including added elemental damage.
- Corrected how newly applied damage-over-time effects use penetration bonuses.
- Double Tap now correctly benefits from ability-damage runes.
- Fixed duration bonuses failing to affect certain buffs, barriers, regeneration effects, and cleanse after-effects.
- Small currency, experience, material, and harvesting bonuses now accumulate instead of repeatedly disappearing through rounding.
- Corrected harvesting bonuses on applicable tools and accessories.
- Fixed small retaliation bonuses being lost when blocking.
- Corrected crafted Death Refusal values and descriptions to match its intended single-use effect.
- Clarified several stat, equipment, and ability descriptions, including Strength’s maximum-health bonus, armor mitigation, and equipment-load penalties.
Performance And Loading
- Reduced processing and memory overhead during combat, including animation, status, sound, and visual-effect updates.
- Reduced the work required to prepare autosaves, helping lessen save-related hitches.
- Improved expedition and Pinnacle loading efficiency by avoiding unnecessary resource preparation.
- Optimized minimap updates to support the additional markers without repeatedly rebuilding its terrain texture.
Save Sharing And Compatibility
- Added a Copy button to the Load Campaign screen. It copies a separate save file to the Windows clipboard, making saves easier to back up or share without changing the original campaign or using another save slot.
- Copied saves remain available to paste after closing the game.
- Improved compatibility for older combat saves and repaired specific post-wipe save-loading problems involving removed recruits and their pending card choices.
- Updated the demo with the same improvements. Demo-only progression remains capped at level 25, and demo saves can continue in the full game after purchase.
