1.0 version - Hotfix 1

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault · published · build 25197724

Fellow merchants!

First of all, we want to say a huge thank you for supporting Moonlighter 2 and its 1.0 release.

Since launch, we’ve been spending a lot of time with you: reading your reviews, going through your reports, and following your posts and conversations across Discord, Reddit, and the Steam Discussions. Your feedback has been incredibly valuable in helping us understand where the 1.0 experience needed some extra attention.

The result is this patch, which addresses most of the concerns raised by the community during the 1.0 release. We’ll keep reading, listening, and working on the game in the weeks and months to come, but we felt a hotfix was much needed so you can enjoy the 1.0 experience in a better, smoother way right now.

A big focus of this update is stability. While we’ve done our best to eliminate crashes and believe this version should be significantly more stable, if you still experience a crash, please fill out this form and let us know. Every report helps us track down the remaining issues.

Now, onto the fixes!:

Patch notes:

Performance & Graphics

• Added the option to select between DirectX 11 and DirectX 12. Many of the crashes and

performance issues some players have run into may be related to this — if you’re

experiencing instability or poor performance, try switching between the two to see

which runs best on your system.

Progression & Quests

• Fixed the quest marker for the Weapon Mastery quest pointing to the wrong location,

making Anacard impossible to find.

• Fixed a crash that could occur right after completing a certain main quest.

• Fixed a loss of player input when talking to Hazy Jane while Tresna is under attack from

Moloch.

• Fixed the game freezing on the loading screen when returning to Tresna during the

tutorial.

• Fixed Babyl sometimes becoming duplicated, which could make Spark almost

impossible to reach if Babyl hadn’t been unlocked yet.

Enemies

• Fixed Senda not taking poison damage from gadget shots during his second phase.

• Fixed Sergeant Roberto not reacting when shot from a distance.

• Fixed the CH4 Turret getting stuck in its shooting animation after being tased.

• Fixed tased Electric Slimes still dealing electric field damage.

Weapons & Perks

• Fixed a crash caused by a specific combination of Wound and Ignite perks.

• Fixed spearhead projectiles freezing in midair when reaching Will.

• Fixed the second greatsword’s sharpness drain not working as intended.

• Fixed The Vow weapon’s description not matching its actual behavior.

Armor

• Fixed players becoming invincible during boss fights after equipping the Scarabastion.

Dungeons

• Fixed a specific spot in Houtu where players could fall out of the map and get stuck with

no way to recover the run.

• Fixed Will being able to get stuck behind an obstacle in the Gallery area.

• Fixed Barrier Blessing shield charges not being restored when retrying a dungeon

• Fixed certain rewards not appearing in legendary chests dropped after defeating a

miniboss.

• Fixed the dungeon music not restarting after the Bloblet room if the player left before

its track ended.

Text & Localization

• Fixed placeholder and debug text, along with a misspelling, in the Shared Secret relic’s

description (English and Portuguese).

What’s next?

First, we’ll work to bring these improvements to the console versions as soon as possible.

After that, we’ll assess what Moonlighter 2 still needs in terms of balancing, gameplay, and more. We’ll keep a close eye on our communities, your feedback, and the conversations happening around the game as we decide where our attention is needed next.

Please keep sharing your thoughts, reports, and experiences with us. We’re reading them, and they genuinely help us make Moonlighter 2 better.

See you in Tresna!Take care,~ Digital Sun and 11 bit studios Teams
