V3.0 + Online Climbing Update — Sherpa Voice, Real Teammates and Radio Chat

The mountain has a voice—and now other climbers.

V3.0 introduced Pemba, your Sherpa voice companion, full Steam Deck and controller support, and expanded settings. Now the expedition grows again with Online Climbing: real players can appear on your route and speak over the mountain radio.

Pemba — your Sherpa voice companion

In Expedition Mode, Pemba accompanies your journey with Chinese or English voice and subtitles. He responds to camps, changing weather, low oxygen, fatigue, the summit push and the descent.

Ask him about your situation, listen to mountain stories and encouragement, and build your bond to unlock more conversations. Choose voice and subtitles, subtitles only, or turn the guide off; Pemba's volume can be adjusted separately.

Online Climbing

Start an expedition and the game automatically searches for a public group. There are no rooms to create and no invitations to manage.

• Up to 12 climbers: share the same route with other players.
• See your teammates: other climbers appear as figures on the mountain, with their position and movement visible to you.
• Radio voice: hold R on keyboard or View/Select on controller to talk. The radio carries your voice across long distances, just like high-altitude communication.
• Your choice: open the pause menu and select Solo Climb to leave the group immediately. You can also mute individual players and adjust their volume.

Online Climbing synchronizes teammate position, movement and radio voice; each climber's time, weather, events and save progress remain independent. If you encounter a problem, please tell us in the Discussions forum.

Steam Deck, controller and expanded settings

V3.0 also adds full Steam Deck and controller operation across gameplay and menus. Adjust resolution, graphics quality, master and guide volume, mouse and stick sensitivity, and switch between first-person and third-person views.
