Wizdom Academy Demo · published · build 24668413
Greetings, Headmasters! 🧙♂️
Hotfix 0.7.5 is now available for Wizdom Academy!
This update focuses on improving camera controls, village influence, recruitment pacing, Headmaster’s Board readability, and several important UI and gameplay issues reported after the latest update.
It also fixes character animation issues, room alerts across floors, teacher idle detection, classroom tooltips, and rooms incorrectly closing after loading a save.
Let’s dive in!
Building the Tower / Magical Lift now costs 10 Glyphites instead of 5.
Academy Wealth in the Headmaster’s Board is now shown in thousands with a K suffix, making the line much shorter and easier to read.
The wealth change shown next to it is shortened the same way and keeps its color: red when it drops, green when it rises.
Holding the middle mouse button to pan the camera no longer keeps the camera drifting when the mouse stays still.
The camera now moves only while you actually move the mouse and stops instantly when you stop moving it, even if the button is still held.
While one of your representatives is stationed in a village, rival academies can no longer erode your influence there.
Your per-cycle influence gain in that village is now fully applied.
Villages without one of your representatives still see rival academies fight over influence as before.
Village recruitment speed is now capped.
A village’s influence now directly controls recruitment speed, from 12 cycles at the slowest with 0% influence to 3 cycles at the fastest with 100% influence.
Recruitment speed can no longer fall outside that range, no matter how many Admission Offices you have built.
Recruitment already in progress before this change is capped to the new slowest pace when loading your save.
Characters should no longer freeze on screen with their arms stuck out in a stiff resting pose.
This was most visible on lower graphics settings, especially Potato, Low, and Medium, and on first-year students.
Visible characters now animate normally at every graphics level, while off-screen characters still save animation performance.
The tutorial arrow pointing to a room’s enable/disable button now lines up with the button instead of sitting off to the side.
The angle is still not perfect and will be improved soon.
The per-cycle influence gain shown on village panels now correctly includes the Elemental Defense Tower bonus.
With an explorer stationed in the village and the tower built, the panel now shows the real value.
Villages without the tower still show the normal influence gain.
Bottom bar tooltips now show the keyboard shortcut that actually matches your keyboard layout.
On a French AZERTY keyboard, the Exploration tooltip now shows the semicolon key instead of the comma key.
This also works correctly with remapped controls.
Clicking an alert that focuses the camera on a building located on another floor now keeps that building’s detail panel open when the camera arrives.
This affects vandalized room alerts, trial ready alerts, and any alert that centers on a room.
Manually changing floors still closes the selected building panel as before.
Classroom student slot tooltips now behave correctly.
Empty slots now show an Empty slot message telling you to recruit more students.
Occupied slots now show the student’s name and what they are doing.
These tooltips should no longer flicker or vanish every half second while the panel refreshes.
The blue bell alert A teacher is awaiting your instructions now shows the real number of teachers waiting for orders on the world map instead of a fixed 99.
The counter now goes down as you give each teacher an order.
The alert disappears as soon as the last waiting teacher receives an order.
It should no longer stay stuck forever, even when a waiting teacher is removed from the school.
Typing a resource amount in the Emissary tax window no longer changes the game speed.
Number keys used for speed shortcuts are now ignored while typing in text fields.
The game now stays paused while the tax payment window is open.
Speed shortcuts and speed buttons still work normally everywhere else.
Teachers who have a room or ruin assigned, or who are busy with a task, are no longer counted or flagged as idle while briefly moving between two classes or returning from rest.
The idle teacher counter, the idle marker above their head, and the Board’s opinion of your teachers now only react to teachers who truly have nothing assigned.
A teacher left with no assignment is still counted and flagged as idle as before.
Loading a saved game no longer closes rooms that were open and working when you saved.
Rooms now come back exactly as you left them: open rooms stay open, closed rooms stay closed.
Normal mana shortage behavior still works the same during play.
Hotfix 0.7.5 should make the game smoother and clearer, especially around camera movement, village recruitment, influence, room alerts, teacher status, and save loading behavior.
Thank you again for your feedback and bug reports throughout Early Access.
See you in the next update, Headmasters!
