Damnatio Lusoris Demo · published · build 24889610

NEW CHARACTERSEach starts with its own weapon, and every one of those weapons has an evolution.Leaf Ranger. Fires a spread of arrows. 35% chance to poison what she hits (6 damage per second for 3 seconds). 15% faster, 10% less health.Water Priestess. Her tide hits everything around her and heals her 1.4 HP every time it connects. 25% more health, 10% slower attacks.Ground Monk. Slams the ground and knocks enemies back, 50% harder than normal knockback. 30% more health, moves 12% slower.Fire Knight. Burning embers orbit him. Killing an enemy with them heals 2 HP. 10% faster, 8% less health.Metal Bladekeeper. Lays traps. A trap arms itself and then bursts into shrapnel. His traps arm 30% faster. +10 armor, 10% less health.Huntress. Throws spears that pierce two more enemies than normal. 20% faster, 15% less health.NEW UNLOCK ORDERCharacters unlock in a different order now. Before, the first one after the Knight was the Frost Lich, and you got the Pyromancer as your fourth character. Now you get the Death Knight first (whirling scythe, ghost blades on kills), then the whole elemental family, and the Pyromancer with the Nuke last, as the reward for finishing the chain. The requirement now matches what each character is good at. Killers count kills, tanky and healing characters count survival time.If you already unlocked characters, you lose none of them. Any character you have finished at least one run with stays unlocked permanently.NEW WEAPONSSix base weapons: Thorn Volley, Healing Tide, Seismic Palm, Ember Wheel, Iron Snare, Piercing Spear. Each has an evolution: Verdant Blight, Sanctuary Tide, Tectonic Fracture, Inferno Vortex, Shrapnel Mine, Relentless Hunt.NEW LEVELSMolten Depths. Cracked volcanic ground with cooled basalt slabs. Fissures erupt without warning, so watch where you stand.Verdant Hollow. An overgrown hollow full of thorns. The vines slow down anything that walks into them. Both levels now use different terrain tiles from the rest of the maps, instead of the same terrain under a colour filter. The colour filters themselves are much lighter now. Molten Depths used to be drowned in red and Verdant Hollow in green, heavily enough that it was hard to look at.BLIZZARD REWORKThe storm on Deepwinter Reach used to be a flat white fog. Now it blows across the arena in gusts of pixel snow and slows everything caught in it by 35 percent, you and the enemies both. It also shows up far less often, so it means something when it hits.SIXTEEN LANGUAGESEvery text in the game is translated into: Polish, English, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Japanese, French, Korean, Turkish, Italian, Thai, Ukrainian, Hungarian, Vietnamese.Thai, Ukrainian, Hungarian and Vietnamese are new in this update. The demo has exactly the same languages.FIXESFixed a crash on level up in a large crowd. The knockback wave from levelling could hit an enemy that died in the same frame and take the player script down with it.Character unlock requirements showed up as broken text in Chinese, Turkish, Japanese and Korean. One talent description showed up in the wrong language entirely. The Huntress spear rendered as sliced fragments instead of a spear.Verdant Blight hit far harder than intended. Rebalanced.Fixed rare crashes when a large group of enemies died at the same moment. The PLAY button no longer gets pushed outside tall character cards.Controller navigation checked on every character and level card. The game is 274 MB smaller to download. The build contained old temporary files that were never needed for anything. The demo is 116 MB smaller.
