Finally, the wait is over: the twelfth major content update for City Bus Manager is now available! We have added a huge number of new features, including the long-requested ability to build multiple floors in your depot, improvements to the shift schedule, new features for bus stops and the Service Center, and much more!

New Features

  • Base Building 2.0: We have fundamentally reworked Base Building and added several highly requested features.You can now build multiple floors:Roads can now be built freely in any size:You can now build one-way roads. A new one-way arrow is available in the road-building menu:
  • Reworked Shift Schedule: The shift schedule has been restructured and can now be filtered by routes and buses.
  • Bus Stop Timetables: A complete timetable can now be displayed for each bus stop and filtered by route.
  • Advanced Service Center Opening Hours:
    Service Center opening hours can now be set individually for each day.
  • Vehicle Overview Filters: Vehicles can now be filtered by category, making it easier to manage your fleet.
  • Improved Contract Details: The contract details for a specific route can now be viewed at any time, even after the contract has been completed.
  • Bus stops can now be equipped with ticket machines, reducing the workload at the Service Center
  • Added a function that allows you to purchase additional buses with the same appearance as a bus you already own
  • Added the ability to save and reuse colors in the Paint Shop
  • New and improved articulation physics for articulated buses
  • Contract trips can now be operated using multiple buses: The number of buses is set directly in the information message, and the timetables are created with staggered departure times

Performance Improvements

  • Major performance improvements when creating large routes
  • Fixed a performance issue that occurred while the route window was open
  • Fixed occasional severe lag in large savegames
  • The main menu is now responsive much sooner after launching the game, as bus mod preview images are loaded in the background
  • Reduced loading times when opening PeDePulse
  • The repaint selection in the Paint Shop now opens without delay, even when many repaints are subscribed to

Bug Fixes

  • Disabled the "Hire Researchers" task when playing in Sandbox Mode without research
  • Fixed an issue where ticket inspectors did not appear in the employee list if some had already been hired in a scenario but ticket inspectors had not yet been unlocked through research
  • Freshly washed buses still showed visible traces of dirt
  • Smoke appeared in the wrong location or was completely missing on damaged articulated buses
  • Dirt particles from the rear doors of articulated buses were attached to the front section and floated in the air when the bus bent at the articulation
  • The driver left the bus before the door had fully opened
  • Bus mod preview images appeared too dark during Workshop uploads
  • The title and description of a Workshop item were overwritten with the local values when updating a mod
  • The destination display remained blank while driving to the Paint Shop
  • Long repaint names extended beyond their rows and overlapped other entries
  • Fixed a bug where the camera on the map ran jerkily or skipped when moving it with the right mouse button
  • Added missing translations
  • Fixed numerous bugs related to Base Building
  • Updated to Unity 6.6

At the same time, as announced in our roadmap, we are already working on a new DLC scheduled for release later this year. We can already reveal that it will be the largest DLC released for City Bus Manager to date. You will have to wait a little longer for further details, though :)
