BodyWalk VR Motion Mapper · published · build 24072874
We are excited to share a consolidated update bringing critical bug fixes, UI improvements, and new control features to both BodyWalkVR and FlatVR!
Steam Version Profiles Fix: Resolved a critical issue where the Steam version of BodyWalkVR would fail to save or load local profiles due to a settings filename discrepancy (usersettings_steam.json vs usersettings.json). Now local profiles and cloud sharing work flawlessly on Steam!
Label-First Alignment: Realigned text inputs and dropdown selectors on the Profiles tab to make the interface cleaner and easier to read.
Fallback Profile Saving: Profiles can now be saved without entering a name or selecting a game. A fallback filename is generated automatically based on your active Input and Output settings (e.g. Xbox_360_Phone).
Unique Name Resolving: The application now dynamically appends sequential identifiers (e.g. _1, _2) to prevent overwriting existing profiles.
Profile Debug Logger Toggle: Added a toggle switch in the debug menu to enable or disable verbose profile logs on the fly, stored persistently.
OpenXR Layer Anti-Cheat Warning: Added a prominent warning block inside the OpenXR Layer settings. Because OpenXR layers hook directly into the graphics system, online anti-cheat tools (like Easy Anti-Cheat) may flag them. Please uninstall the OpenXR layer before playing multiplayer online games.
Touch Control Support: Added support for touch inputs (such as Thumbstick Touch, etc.) for triggering start/stop actions.
Button Grouping Separators: Added clean horizontal separators in the button binding popups to clearly separate Left-hand and Right-hand VR controller buttons.
