Nothing changed in locomotion this time. Everything below is the FlatVR tab - watching a flat screen in 3D inside the headset - which ships as part of BodyWalkVR.
AI depth could fail in silence: the picture simply froze on its last frame, with nothing in any log. Two separate causes, both fixed. If AI depth has ever done nothing on your machine for no visible reason, this is why.
Depth from games as old as Direct3D 9, 32-bit ones included - an era ReShade depth could never reach before. With Depth Brightness and Depth Curve to tune it, and a panel that names what is wrong instead of going black.
Laptops with two graphics chips work now. They could not capture the screen at all, and crashed instead of saying so. Both fixed.
Sharper depth edges, and no longer at the cost of smooth surfaces - the edge restore was reaching further than the blur it was meant to repair.
A window now appears after a crash. Nothing is sent unless you press Send. It lists every file it would send with its size, and there is a button that opens the folder so you can read them first. What goes in it: your Windows build, your CPU and graphics card with its driver version, the versions of the libraries we ship, and our own call stacks. No names, no documents, no browsing history. Email and a description are optional, and the email is only so we can reply.
Right-click BodyWalkVR in your Steam library → Properties → Betas.
Pick last-stable to go back to the previous release at any time. Your settings are kept either way.
