Grand Cru: The Wine Maker · published · build 22376245
Bonjour, winemakers!
Welcome to v0.3.0 — a sweeping visual overhaul that transforms every screen into the world of Bordeaux.
We replaced the web-app aesthetic with an immersive, handcrafted game world inspired by the French wine country.
Gazette — French broadsheet newspaper. Parchment texture, serif typography, columns, and drop caps.
Rankings — Trophy header with solari flip-board animation. Expand any NPC winery to see their wine infographic card.
Finances — "Registre Financier" ledger book on parchment, ink-toned figures.
Bank — Loan contract document + BANQUE DE BORDEAUX rubber stamp + bank building facade.
Real Estate — Cork bulletin board with post-it notes, pin tacks, and FOR SALE / A VENDRE stamps.
Winery — Cave cellar atmosphere. Stone walls, chalkboard harvest board, dark wood workbench.
Skills & Encyclopedia — Bordeaux bookshop "Librairie du Vin" building facade with parchment book cards.
Wine Magazine — GQ-style glossy coated paper texture. Buyer info at a glance.
Screen Mastheads — Unified ornamental headers across all screens.
Minimum Font Size — 12px enforced globally for improved readability.
New "Producer" Round — Taste a mystery wine and guess which winery made it!
Your Own Wines in the Pool — Your bottles can now appear in blind tastings.
Skill-Gated Hints — Your Degustation level unlocks progressively deeper clues: bank, style, equipment.
+1 Hint Bonus — Get an extra level of hints when tasting your own wines.
Saint-Emilion Bias Fixed — NPC wines now display their correct commune.
Sound Effects — Envelope opening, applause, and achievement chimes, differentiated by medal tier.
Red & White shown simultaneously
2 New Achievements — "First Gold" and "Triple Crown"
NPC Wine Infographic Cards — Portraits, stats, and actual wines produced, displayed as cards.
Gala Dinner — Requires 30-90 bottles (down from 60-240). Your available bottle count is now shown.
Reputation — Late-game diminishing returns softened. Victory target adjusted to ~Year 8.
Korean / English / Deutsch / Simplified Chinese / Traditional Chinese — 3,850 keys, 100% translated.
Auto-detect system language on first launch.
Wine-specific terminology native to each language.
Three states: Default (ink arrow), Hover (gold), Disabled (red slash).
NPC commune pipeline fix — resolved blind tasting bias + save migration
