This update cuts down on repetitive clicking, shows the result of every move more clearly and stops you from banking advantages by leaving the game running.
New Features
- Auto-production for attacks: attack cards in the Development panel now have an "Auto-produce" switch and an amount (1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 20, 50 or Endless). While it is on, attacks are produced automatically as long as you can afford them, until the amount runs out and the switch turns off. Production stops while the game is paused. Your settings are saved.
- Countries tab: a new tab in the right panel lists your core, controlled countries and puppets with their flag, status and population. The header shows how many countries you hold and your Global Dominion percentage. Click a row to move the camera there and open the country panel.
- "When learned" list in the tech tree: select a technology to see exactly what it gives you: action rewards, cost and duration reductions, infiltration, ability levels, boosted actions and newly unlocked actions.
- Learning a technology now feels rewarding: the hex bounces, a ring expands and your gains float upward. Three dots under each hex show its level and turn gold once it is maxed.
- Cyber attacks hit harder: hits grow and rise in pitch as the attack goes on, and the final hit ends with a big explosion. The target country flickers with a short pixelated glitch on every hit.
- When an attack ends, a summary appears above the target: the values that changed and the capture path that advanced the most. Capture cards also show how much each percentage just went up.
Balance
- The critical threat panel is now timed, so you can no longer stall a crisis by leaving it open. You have as long as the crisis window lasts; if time runs out, the protocol does not open. The time left is shown under the button and turns red in the last 10 seconds.
- The anarchy shortcut now only applies to countries you have left a trace in. Crisis wars could push countries you never touched into anarchy and open the low capture threshold, so leaving the game running at 5x piled up free countries. The Anarchy entry in the Glossary was updated to match.
Easier Controls
- Press Enter to learn the selected technology in the tech tree. The shortcut was also added to the controls list.
- ESC now steps back one layer at a time in the tech tree: inside a branch it returns to the category menu, and in the menu it closes the screen.
- Large resource amounts and per-second rates in the top bar are now shortened (e.g. 169.5K, 1.3M, +1.2K/s), so the numbers no longer overlap.
Bug Fixes
- Every time you learned a technology, an error occurred in the background. The hexes and the detail panel now refresh when research finishes and your selection is kept. The Learn button can no longer be pressed for a technology you already researched.
- Cyber attack sounds cut out after the first 3 hits. Fixed.
- A choice in another message (such as accepting the tutorial) could open a queued crisis too early. Fixed.
