Thanks for your feedback. This update rethinks core migration both visually and strategically, makes great powers and alliances more dangerous, and adds guiding notifications for new players.
New Features
- Core migration cinematic: while your core migrates, the camera follows it up close, shakes on landing, then smoothly returns to your new base and hands control back to you.
- Covert base: migrating to a country you don't own no longer captures it; your core hides there in secret. In a covert base, your actions' effects, the detection you leave, investigation gains and the damage that country deals to you are all 1.5x. Capturing the country removes these multipliers. A covert base has its own dark blue color and a core ring on the map.
- The country you migrate away from is no longer lost: your starting country and the other countries you own stay under your control.
- Damage shake: when your core or a country you own is hit, the camera shakes briefly, scaled to the damage.
- Great powers strike back: superpowers, major powers, alliance hubs, large economies and countries with strong militaries (Israel, Pakistan, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia) no longer lock themselves down at peak investigation; they launch cyber counter-attacks against you, and superpowers add military strikes.
- Alliances respond by type: alliance hubs call on their alliance once investigation reaches 66%. Military alliances attack, Five Eyes shares intelligence, the EU and BRICS impose sanctions, the SCO raises cyber security and regional alliances mediate.
- Capture guide: notifications explain what to do when a capture path nears its threshold and when the first capture opportunities appear on the map.
- Idle processing power now processes Data: every 100 unused processing power produces 0.4 Data per second. Processing power in use by actions doesn't count toward this.
Balance
- Counter-attacks stay fair: at least 30 seconds pass between two counter-attacks, none come while your core is below 30, and the same alliance can respond only once every 90 seconds.
- Investigation no longer rises during a lockdown, and lockdowns now last 60 seconds instead of 90.
- Global detection's effect on investigation is capped at 1.5x. The trace penalty dropped from +10 to +6. Trace Eraser lowers detection by 0.1 per second per level.
- The capture threshold for countries in anarchy dropped from 50% to 20%. Every country whose anarchy window opens now shows a capture marker on the map.
Clearer Interface
- Hover an alliance card in the Alliances panel to see the alliance's role, how it responds when its hub calls, which members can call and whether it can respond again.
- While the target country is in lockdown, action buttons are locked and the tooltip shows the time left.
- Processing power usage in the top bar now includes Data processing; its tooltip shows how it splits between actions and Data processing and how much Data per second is produced.
- The migration button stays locked during its cooldown and shows a minutes:seconds countdown. The migration tooltip notes that a country you don't own becomes a covert base.
Bug Fixes
- The dilemma panel and the country panel could open on top of each other. Now opening one closes the other.
- Prices in the development menu didn't update their color when resources changed until you left the menu. Fixed.
- The same sound effect could stack many times and become grating. The same sound now plays at most 3 times at once.
- The end of a lockdown was detected late. It is now checked every second.
