Vital additions for Update 5.0

Global:

  • Fixed mouse may feeling "heavy" and not perfectly smooth after the multicore fix in Update 5.0. It should now be super responsive.

Multiplayer:

  • Fixed an issue where multiplayer music (Jukebox) could fail to start with the "No Loop" option enabled if the first played level had a zero ID number.

  • Fixed a bug in the Launcher: selecting a server from GameSpy while "Manual IP" mode is enabled no longer causes endless stacks of error popups. The Launcher will now automatically switch to "Recent IP" mode in this case.

  • Increased Crossbow base damage from 25 to 30.

  • Very small Scorpion Launcher nerf: damage reduced by ~3% (usually just ~1 health point per rocket hit or even less). The weapon feels extremely spammable and easy to frag with, so we’re making it sliiiightly less abusive.

  • Fixed characters frequently getting stuck at low doorways in Harbor maps (forcing you to crouch every time, which was annoying). You should now pass through such doorways freely.

  • Fixed a crash that occurred when entering the in-game options menu while a PFM was spawned nearby.

  • Fixed some small text issues and aspect-corrected a few forgotten Arena strings.

  • Custom Rocket Jumping ability (for the new Rocket Launcher) moved from DLC to the free game, as separating it into DLC was more confusing than useful.

Single Player:

  • Fixed/improved FOV in Primagen's cutscenes and the ending cutscenes.

  • Improved the "Show FPS" on-screen counter.

  • Small change to the Adia trial challenge: you can no longer earn the achievement in the single second between 2:30 and 2:31 (the timer has already expired).

Other:

  • Unlocked the ability to use dgVoodoo passthrough mode on Windows (it’s already default on Linux) now that all critical issues related to it have been resolved.

  • Also unlocked the ability to use DXVK, but no technical support will be provided for issues caused by it.

  • Enabled a custom FPS limiter as a backup for any non-default game renderer mode. This should prevent speed spikes or freezes even when no other limiter or V-Sync is present in a modded build.

  • The Launcher will now gray out settings that have no effect in Linux or Passthrough mode. An associated mode string now appears on the Video page.
