Rear-View Camera, Glass Break Death Screen & Gameplay Polish

What's New

🎥 Rear-View Camera

The attitude indicator has been replaced with a live rear-view camera — a true 3D perspective view of what's behind you.

  • Roid Blaster / Mega Roids: See nebulae, asteroids, aliens, missiles, and treasures rendered as lit 3D geometry behind your ship.
  • Roid Run: A telephoto view of the canyon behind you with sky/ground gradient and perspective-correct walls.

💀 New Death Transition

All three game modes now share a unified glass-break death screen — your view shatters when you die, followed by a flashing GAME OVER animation before the scoreboard.

🛡️ Roid Blaster: Spawn Protection

You're now invulnerable for 3 seconds after spawning or respawning. A gold blinking overlay fades out as the protection window ends so you always know when you're exposed.

Balance Changes

  • Mega Roids: Shield triangles reduced from 4 hits to 3 hits to destroy — faster, more aggressive combat.
  • Mega Roids Boss: HP reduced from 25 to 20 hits.
  • Roid Run: Enemy turret missile speed increased by 8%.
  • Roid Blaster: Ship turn speed increased by 8%.
  • Green aliens are now 20% larger — harder to miss, harder to ignore.

Audio

  • Alien sound redesign: richer FM vibrato warble with a punchier pulse envelope and better distance falloff.
  • Missiles that hit your cockpit now trigger a distinct impact sound.

Visual & HUD Polish

  • Improved canyon wall rendering in Roid Run.
  • HUD indicator shine repositioned to upper-left for a more natural look.
  • Alien AI no longer wastes shots on asteroids already on a collision course with the player.
