A small but important update
Hi everyone,
I've spent the last day going through your feedback and bug reports one by one, fixing several issues that were affecting longer saves and the general flow of the game.
I'm developing the game on my own, so every comment and bug report genuinely helps me find these problems much faster. Thank you for that.
What's changed?
- The game world now refreshes properly every season. New young players are generated, squad ages should stay healthier as the years go by, academy players can reach higher potential, and injuries around the world now happen at a much more realistic rate.
- Retirement logic has been fixed. A timing mismatch between the season ending in June and retirement checks happening in August could cause some players to keep playing well into their 40s. This has now been corrected.
- Sell-on clauses now actually get paid. Clauses that could remain stuck forever on the finances screen are now checked correctly. The panel also tells you when the payment is due.
- Transfer request logic has been cleaned up. Under-18 players will no longer request permanent transfers they aren't allowed to make, and some old transfer requests stuck in existing saves are now cleared.
- Events now respect the football calendar. You should no longer see derbies outside the season, swaps outside the transfer window, or international call-ups outside international breaks.
- I rewrote 171 event outcome texts. A lot of lines that sounded like system messages now use more natural football language, across all 11 translated languages.
- The tutorial has been improved. There's now an "Advance Week" step, while lessons for your first offer, inbox, development plans and expiring contracts appear when they're actually relevant. You can also restart the tutorial from Settings.
- I did another full localization pass. I reviewed tone and wording across all 11 translated languages and fixed several lines that sounded too formal or unnatural, including issues in German and Simplified Chinese.
I'm still reading your feedback and bug reports and working through them one by one.
If something feels wrong, please keep reporting it. Telling me what happened right before the issue appeared makes it much easier for me to track down.
Thanks again for playing and for helping me improve the game during Early Access.
