Vealo - Clean Desktop · published · build 25174339
Two days have passed since the big 1.1 patch, and the Workshop has already filled up with your setups. I watched how you use it, read your emails and the discussions under the items, and put together a first update while it is all fresh. It is almost entirely about the Workshop.
- Ratings and favourites straight from the app. A like, a dislike and the star in a setup card now go to Steam and count in the author's stats, just as if you set them on the item page. Your own vote is highlighted and can be changed at any time.
- Wallpaper only. Like a setup but only want the picture? The card now has a "Wallpaper only" button: it applies the image or the video and leaves your widgets, theme and everything else alone. "Undo" works as before.
- The Workshop got more convenient. After subscribing, the card turns into the full one by itself, no reopening. Your own setup can be renamed with a right click while it is not published yet, Enter confirms. If Steam is off, the tab has a "Launch Steam" button, and the gallery opens on its own once the connection is up. The Workshop tab got a question mark that links to the full publishing guide on vealo.app.
- Publishing is more honest. The resolution is now shown for setups with your own picture, not only for wallpapers from the built-in set. When you choose "18+", the mature content flag goes to Steam by itself, and you can specify what exactly is inside. The clock no longer shifts for subscribers when the author has two monitors.
- Image upscaler. Added a picture smaller than your screen? Vealo will offer to enlarge it with a neural network up to your monitor's resolution, with separate modes for photos and drawings. On a modern GPU it takes seconds. The upscaler is part of Pro.
- Fixes. The FPS line over a game no longer disappears after a second. A double click on a file in the open dialog no longer clicks the wallpaper under the cursor. Steam error messages are clearer.
If something is not working or you have an idea, write to [email protected]. Thank you for publishing your desktops, it is the best thing that could have happened to the Workshop.
For the changes to take effect, update the app to the latest version and restart Vealo!
