PvP Arena is here

Battlefield has a new Arena tab from battling level 50. You get a list of rivals close to your rating, 10 attacks a day that reset at 00:00 UTC, and a 12 hour cooldown before you can attack the same player again. Winning takes rating from your rival and losing gives it back. The Arena is purely competitive for now and gives no rewards. Defending costs nothing and does not use your attacks. Every duel is saved with its full replay, and your duel history sits in the Battle Log tab, next to the squadron fights, which now opens for you even if you are in no squadron. The new PvP category in Rankings lists everyone who has fought at least one duel.

Catalyst profiles

Every crafted item now holds one set of catalyst slots per activity, so the same ship can be geared differently for battling, exploring, crafting, voyager, dungeons and the galaxy boss. You pick the profile from the install screen, and each item only offers the profiles its category can actually use. A profile you leave empty falls back to that item's Default one, so nothing changes until you decide to split something: leave the engine on Default, give the sensors a Voyager profile, and an expedition reads both at once. The two-of-the-same-stat cap is counted inside a profile, so the same slot stays free in the others. The stats panel groups by profile and shows the rest as differences against the Default, and the wiki has a new Catalyst profiles page with a worked example.

Additions

  • The premium store now sells extra inventory slots in the Actions and miscellaneous section, at one stellar token each: items up to 500, blueprints up to 500 and catalysts up to 1000.
  • You can now hold several squadron invites and applications at the same time, and a new My invites tab lists them all with Accept, Decline and Cancel on each row.
  • Chat settings has two new toggles that pick a random name color and a random icon from the ones you own on every message you send.
  • Ship parts now show who crafted them and catalysts show who obtained them, and the mark stays with the item when it is sold or lent to the squadron armory.
  • You can now install your own catalysts on a squadron Armory item you borrowed, and they come back to your pool as soon as the item leaves your inventory.

QoL

  • Now you can see a catalyst's quality in the item drop log, next to its stat.
  • The worker timers now show when your daily arena attacks reset.
  • The wiki has a new FAQ section with the 20 most repeated questions from the Help chat, plus new PvP Arena and Catalyst profiles pages.
  • The wiki now explains how to install a catalyst step by step, what the Item Level column means, which ship level gates equipping an item, how droids survive encounters, and that quest difficulty changes the target and not the payout.
  • The Headquarters page now makes clear that its multiplier and daily payout feed the squadron badge pool and not your personal PvP badges.
  • The apply, cancel, accept, decline and leave buttons on a squadron now sit next to the squadron description instead of below the member list.
  • Now you can open a player's profile from the squadron applications list.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed a bug with opening a squadron from the list while you belong to no squadron.
  • Fixed a UI bug with the tech boosts in the public player profile.
  • Fixed a display bug where the quantum core counter only went up by one per worker payout. The cores granted were always the full amount and the counter corrected itself on the next refresh.
  • Fixed market order notifications only showing up after reloading the game.
  • Fixed the fuel needed line on the galaxy map showing a light year unit.
  • Fixed several typos in the squadron notifications and logs, and in the resource texts.
