Store early or late is a choice. A later store gives you better items but an early story lets you use have a build to tackle stages easier.
Network connection should be much better now as well, as I have coded a predictive movement, it isn't rollback but it is as good as I can make it. Any issues with online should be reported back to be so I can find glitches.
