Demo Update: Better Set Interactions, Refreshed UI and Tutorials

MODice · published

This update brings more reliable reroll and set interactions, clearer status information, and improvements across the UI and playing experience.

Keep your best dice and reroll with confidence

Dice on the workbench stay as they are; only dice in the tray are rerolled. The lever description is simpler, and rules for Chain Rolls, free rolls, Yellow refunds, and interest appear beside the relevant effects, making them easier to check when using sets.

  • Roll Virtuoso: Kept dice retain their existing Chain Roll counts, while rerolled dice do not trigger extra Chain Rolls. Set status distinguishes kept and rerolled dice, showing their actual counts and the cost of the batch.
  • Chromatic Drifter: Aura support from kept dice now correctly affects rerolled dice. Aura duration decreases only after a formal calculation ends, so rerolls and extra settlements no longer spend it early.
  • Fixed interest being awarded again on rerolls and improved restoration of Chain Roll, aura, and gold settlement state when continuing a run.

Refreshed panels, clearer information

Tutorials, destination selection, run results, the appearance workshop, tooltips, and settings options now use more consistent panel and text styling, making rules, effect comparisons, and choices easier to read.

Smoother return from tutorial review

Fixed the first Esc press failing to exit tutorial review, making it easier to return to your run after checking a lesson.

Automatic graphics quality that responds to performance

Auto quality now correctly steps down during sustained low frame rates and recovers as performance improves. This also fixes difficulty returning to high quality with a 60 FPS cap.

Thanks for your feedback! Update the Demo to try these improvements.
