August 16 - Reporting, Annual Reports & Desktop Usability Update

Family Office Simulator · published

Today’s update focuses on several player-reported clarity and usability issues.

What changed:

• Monthly advisor emails now preserve the correct positive or negative sign for Net Checking Change.
• Lease-renewal messaging now correctly distinguishes between changing rent and simply renewing a valid lease at its current signed rent.
• Completed Annual Reports can now be reopened anytime from Accounting → Annual Reports, including reports from prior completed years that are already saved.
• The Settings control on the desktop taskbar is now clearly labeled Settings instead of relying on a small unlabeled icon.
• Settings now includes a proper Quit to Desktop option with confirmation. The game saves before quitting, and if that save fails, the game remains open rather than closing anyway.

Existing saves should continue to work normally.

A lot of these changes came directly from player reports about small things that made the game harder to understand or navigate than they needed to be. Thanks, as always, for continuing to point these out while Family Office Simulator is in Early Access.
