v1.4.402 - Level Editor Beta Update

Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders · published · build 24490141

Level Editor Beta Update - Community Trails

The Level Editor beta update is now live on the Steam beta branch - the big one ahead of the full editor release.

Community Trails

You can now browse user generated levels directly in-game — from the main menu and from the trail selection. Download, rate and (if needed) report them right there. This is also the groundwork for cross-platform support.

Levels moved off Steam Workshop

Levels are now stored on Playfab. They will still be published to the Workshop for visibility, but the published files there are no longer compatible — so all levels need to be republished to be available for others again. Sorry for the extra work, it's a one-time step, and republishing restores everything including comments and ratings. Also worth knowing: the folder layout changed. On first launch the game moves your local level files into subfolders automatically.

Lots of editor polish

Prop clipboard, configurable Time Trials/Tricks/Freeride challenges, a screenshot tool for publishing, plus a pile of river, path and prop fixes. Full change log below.

Still a beta

To be clear: this is the beta branch only for now. We want to see how it holds up with your levels before it goes out to everyone — which we hope will be very soon. We tested compatibility a lot, but if anything looks off with your existing levels, please reach out right away. Thoughts, bugs and feature requests are highly appreciated!
